Welcoming guests from Airbnb since May 2021. Primrose Lodge is one of several on the Kenwick Park Estate which incorporates a country house hotel, bar & restaurant. Set in 320 acres of woodlands, parks and manicured grounds, within the Lincolnshire Wolds (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Central to this lodge is the bright and airy open-plan Reception and Kitchen/dining area with vaulted ceiling. Sliding patio doors open onto the veranda which makes an ideal place for al fresco dining. The lodge is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs - we believe everything is provided to ensure a relaxing stay. We're set up for families with infants rather than pets. 'Smart' Blu-ray DVD player with TV in the living area and complimentary Netflix access. Our WiFi’s bandwidth can cope with streaming services should you want to bring a personalised Amazon Fire Stick. Bedroom 1 has a TV and in the base of each bedside light is a USB charging point. A set of spare linen and towels are stored above the wardrobe. Cotton cellular blankets (throws) for chilly evening on the veranda are stored over the wardrobe in Bedroom 2. Our Utility room is full of anything we think will make your stay more comfortable! DVD library, umbrellas, torches, board games, cleaning products as well as the First Aid kit, washer, dryer & ironing.. With notice, a high chair and modern (Hauck) travel cot with mattress & linen can be set up to await you at no extra charge. An ANPR barrier controls entry to/from the site. If you let us know your vehicle's number-plate after booking then we'll request it's entry onto the system for the duration of your stay. Or we can give you a barrier keycode. The lodge has spacious parking for two vehicles. Whenever you arrive at the lodge after the sun has gone down, outside lights will automatically welcome you and safely light your way to the front door. For your additional peace of mind, security lighting covers the veranda. We like to give our guests privacy to relax, so I'll not contact you unnecessarily during your visit. A printed Welcome pack awaits you in the lodge, containing all information we think guests may need to get the most out of their stay. It includes our contact details for any matters which may be troubling you at any hour. Checking-in is simply retrieving your key from a lockbox by the lodge's entrance. Sadly, it’s therefore unlikely we’ll personally get to meet you... Kenwick Park Golf Club accepts bookings from non-members. Book well ahead with the hotel's ClubSpa for a pampering spa package! We don’t rent this lodge through the hotel so you can’t use their water or gym facilities, however the tennis courts are available to book through the spa. There’s a wealth of fishing lakes close by. Many guests choose lodges at Kenwick for the abundance of walking routes and a most satisfying one (under 30mins) is from the lodge to the Royal Oak Inn (The Splash) in Little Cawthorpe from where many other walks start and finish! Less than a ten minutes’ drive takes you to Louth. This beautiful Georgian market town is one of the country's most historic and hosts three markets per week, with superb independent retailers. Hailed by TV Chef's The Hairy Bikers as a “food mecca”. Louth offers a fantastic theatre, leisure centre with two pools, cinema, the beautiful St James’ Church and wonderful local walks including the popular beauty spot of Hubbard’s Hills. Several beaches are within easy driving, which vary from 'kiss me quick' resorts with amusements and donkey rides to Nature Reserves. It’s also a great area for bird watchers and nature lovers, both in and around Kenwick Woods and on the coastal marshes. Local amenities: Royal Oak Inn (The Splash) - 1 mile Cadwell Park Race Circuit - 4 miles Donna Nook Beach - 10.5 miles Horncastle for antiques - 11 miles The Signal Box Inn (smallest pub in the world?) - 14 miles Market Rasen Racecourse - 14 miles Parkway Cinema, Cleethorpes - 14 miles Weelsby Woods country park - 15 miles Woodhall Spa - 16 miles East Kirkby (‘Just Jane’ Lancaster restoration) - 19 miles. Skegness - 19 miles Lincoln Cathedral - 29 miles Since Primrose lodge is in a woodland location, nature is ever-present! Birds meet up in surrounding trees with typical results below. And friendly spiders leave a lot of webs, but mostly outside and only when your back is turned! So to counter this cleaning challenge, in the Utility room is a powerful portable electric air blower and two extendable web brushes. We use these before every guest arrives and clean up any bird debris from the veranda. So please don't take us to task over any webs spun after we've hung up our tools...
