North Cottage Country Retreat Twineham
Sun, sea and superb countryside, Sussex has it all and Twineham Grange Farm North Cottage is right at the heart of it – when you wake up here, the South Downs really are right on your doorstep and Brighton is a mere ten miles away, with more history, culture, shopping and food than you could shake a sizeable stick of rock at. Recently furnished and refitted to the highest standard, there’s plenty of room for the whole family, as well as your four-legged friends. Open the front door and take in the gorgeous open-plan ground floor, which includes a fully-fitted kitchen, large dining table and comfortable lounge area, with plenty of space for everyone to sit down and relax. All communal areas are fitted with blinds for added comfort. The beautiful exposed beam ceiling and great views over the countryside make this the perfect place to get together and catch up amid stunning surroundings, or simply sit back, relax and enjoy some quiet time. There are two comfortable ground floor bedrooms: one king-size double and one twin, which share a family bathroom. Then via the exposed oak staircase, you’ll find the master bedroom, which boasts a king-size double bed and a spacious ensuite bathroom. For a moment of tranquillity (which might mean when the small people are catching forty winks), there’s really nowhere better to take in the Sussex countryside than from the comfort of the patio, which has its own very comfortable seating area – trust us, it’s tried and tested! Inside, creature comforts are the name of the game in this immaculately clean, light, airy bolthole, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, iron and hairdryer. The cottage sleeps six people. And if it’s privacy you’re after, (or piece of mind for little people who enjoy running around), the property is accessed via a private gate and driveway, and has a fenced garden area. There is self check-in at the cottage and a welcome pack inside the property, where you will find lots of information on the house and where to find things. There is also lots of local information too. We will deal with all your questions and requests and we are happy to recommend local walks, pubs and our favourite eateries in the surrounding villages and Brighton. Basically whatever we can do to make your stay as relaxing and perfect as possible please just ask - we will do our best. So if taking a moment to stop, breathe and relax sounds like just what you're after - frankly, what are you waiting for?! Bring your wellies and your bike, because there is just so much to see. Set in the heart of the Adur Valley, famed for its 20 mile-long idyllic stretch of river, you are perfectly located to make like Jerome K Jerome and start messing about in boats. Or perhaps the surrounding South Downs that have inspired authors from Blake to Belloc and Tennyson to Kipling are more your scene – the walking and cycling options are endless. Twineham itself boasts beautiful St Peter’s Church – built in 1516, it has what can only be described as a very appealing peal in the form of five bells. And in neighbouring Wineham, (which is ten minutes on foot or five in the car, if you’ve worn yourself out taking in all the scenery), you’ll find The Royal Oak Pub, which is a great option for both a well-earned drink and a hearty meal. The property is within an hour of London. The nearest train stations with frequent services to London, Gatwick and the south coast are Hassocks and Burgess Hill, which are both a ten-minute drive from the cottages. The National Express Coach service to London Victoria can be found at the Hickstead Roundabout, a five-minute drive from the cottages. Local taxi services are available. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and toiletries for all bookings. Hotel standard bed linen and towels in all rooms. The cottage is directly adjoined to another cottage which can accommodate a further six people to the same high standards, so both cottages can be booked to accommodate a total of twelve people. £20 additional charge per dog. If you require cot and highchair please specify at time of booking so we can ensure it's available for your stay.
