Ilpendam, 10 minutes from Amsterdam

Ilpendam is a picturesque village 10 minutes away from Amsterdam. At the ringcanal in Ilpendam, overlooking the meadows, is our cottage. In the mornings you will see the sun rise on the horizon, in the evening you can eat on the decking on the water while the grebes and coots swim along. From this oasis of calm, you can discover the beautiful Waterland or visit the vibrant city. Every 5 minutes, public busses go to Amsterdam, which take you to the center in 10 minutes. The holiday home was originally an empty barn. In 2017 it was converted into a holiday home. When you enter the house you immediately look out over the water and the meadows. Through the glass sliding doors you step on the landing stage and you can swim in the Ringvaart. Downstairs is the living room, a spacious luxury kitchen and bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. A staircase leads you to the two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two single beds. Guests of our holiday home have their own part of the landing stage on the water and part of the owner's garden where you can make use of a lounge set. Ilpendam is one of the picturesque villages in the municipality of Waterland. In our village is a cozy French mini march 'Anne'. The shop is open 7 days a week. Here you can find everything: French breakfast, good wine or dinner. Ilpendam also has a small restaurant where you can enjoy dinner or sit on the terrace on summers. Vanuit de woning kun je mooie wandelingen en fietstochten maken, bijvoorbeeld naar de theetuin in Overleek, de Sint-Nicolaaskerk in Monnickendam, de monumentale ´broekerhuizen´ in Broek in Waterland, de kaasmarkt in Edam, de haven in Volendam of het schiereiland Marken. De route naar het natuurgebied ‘het Twiske’ is ook de moeite waard. Zomers kun je hier in de verschillende meertjes zwemmen. You can take a public bus to Amsterdam every 5 minutes, while the trip itself only takes 10 minutes. The bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the house. There's free parking in front of the house We like to share the place with like-minded people who like the rest and nature, and take into account the surroundings. We do not want to have partying. Smoking and pets are not allowed. Due to the direct access to the open water, the property is not suitable for families with young children without a swim diploma. The house, on the other hand, is very suitable for families with children who have a swim diploma!
