Sussex Holiday escape
As our guests at the Little Glebe, you'll enjoy the privacy of a stylish and light, self-contained holiday home, in the heart of West Sussex. Close to the coast and close to the hills, it's the perfect place to relax and explore the area. My husband and I live in the adjoining house. The Little Glebe offers you completely private, self-catering accommodation. There are two double rooms (one can be set-up as two single beds if you prefer), a family bathroom, including a separate bath and shower, as well as a private, fully-equipped kitchen and a large living room, with a dining table and chairs. You'll have use of the large front garden, with garden furniture and space for children to play. The Little Glebe is all on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to climb, just two steps, or a ramp, up to the front door. Our parking is on a private driveway, off the road, there's space for two guest cars. If you bring bikes we have a secure place they they can be stored. There are books, games and a TV, with Netflix to keep you occupied if the weather isn't too good! We'll generally be here to welcome new arrivals and as we live in the adjoining house, we’re bound to see you. However, we’ll leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday, unless you need info or fancy a chat! The Little Glebe is in a semi-rural location, with open fields to the front of the house. We're lucky enough to be just a mile to Climping Beach and about 3 miles from the historic and picturesque town of Arundel, with its Castle, Cathedral, shops and cafes. The South Downs National Park is also about 3 miles away, with rolling hills and plenty of good walks. Goodwood, with its stunning racecourse and famous fesitvals, is about 12 miles away. Chichester is a beautiful roman city, which is definitely worth exploring. The towns of Littlehampton and Bognor Regis offer some traditional British seaside colour, with a highly recommended fish and chip shop, gelato parlour and great cinemas, amongst the highlights. Other local gems include pretty Bosham Harbour, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Fontwell Racecourse, Petworth House and Park, The Weald and Downland Museum and Amberley Museum, as well as a few wineries and good restaurants! There's no doubt a car is useful to get the most out of a visit here, but Barnham station, just 3 miles away has regular services along the coast, to Chichester (7 mins) and Portsmouth (approx 30 mins) in the west and Worthing (17 mins) and Brighton (approx 40 mins) to the East, as well as direct services into London Victoria and Gatwick Airport. The 700 Bus, stops a short distance from our house and runs between Portsmouth and Brighton, via Littlehampton and Bognor. There are quite a few cycle paths, and a plentiful supply of good walks nearby. All our duvets and pillows are feather, just in case of allergies!
