No.10 The Zetland is located in a stunning building in the centre of the Victorian town, Saltburn-by-the-sea. The apartment is set within The Zetland - a beautiful Grade II listed building which originally opened in 1863. It was one of the world’s first railway hotels with its own private platform and you can still see the original canopy and railway buffer today. All rooms can be found on the same level in this spacious second floor apartment. The large open plan living and dining area provides a comfortable space for you to rest after a day exploring. The leather and fabric sofas are perfect for lazy days lounging, or enjoy your favourite film on the large wall mounted, flat screen TV. Please note the Smart TV does not have access to terrestrial channels, instead you will be able to log into WiFi apps such as Netflix and BBC iPlayer if you have accounts. The floor to ceiling windows and original cornice brings character to this space. The doors from the living area lead out onto a balcony, where the adults in the group can enjoy views of the crashing waves against Huntcliff and coastline. The Kitchen-diner features a modern L-shaped kitchen and dark wooden table and matching chairs. The kitchen comes equipped with oven, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle, all the necessities for a homely break by the sea. With ample storage and the benefit of a washing machine, this apartment is suitable for longer stays. The Master bedroom at No. 10 Zetland is a bright and airy space, with high ceilings and large windows the room feels spacious and grand. With a luxurious, plush fabric sleigh bed and high quality crisp white linen, a good nights sleep is guaranteed. The second bedroom is home to a double-bunk. With a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top, it is perfect for the younger members of the family or even parents and child to share. The shared bathroom features a WC, Basin and walk in shower. With pale grey panelling and a wood effect floor, this space feels modern and fresh. Located in the heart of the town, the property is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance. Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful! No.10 Zetland is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors. Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
