My husband and I live in the main house and our small garden annex is completely separate, located across the garden. A mini kitchen, shower and toilet are located in an additional building across from the annex (not en-suite) and is for the sole use of guests. Free off street parking on site. WiFi is available, although connection inside the room cannot be guaranteed. We're in a quiet peaceful village, well located for visiting Bath, Bristol, Castle Combe, Lacock & The Cotswolds. The garden annex is a small private room within the garden of an 18th century cottage. Guests will enjoy having their own space to come and go freely. The kitchenette and bathroom (in a DIFFERENT BUILDING, across the garden) are accessible without coming into the main house and are for the sole use of our guests. Guests have access to a small secluded section of the garden with a table & seating area. Private bathroom (not ensuite, its across the garden) with electric shower. Mini kitchen equipped with microwave, single electric hob, fridge/freezer, crockery, pans and utensils. We are often around to offer any help or information. Guests will have access to useful local and tourist information contained within a folder in the room. Also there are some great cycling and walking routes straight from the door. Safe, friendly, peaceful village, surrounded by beautiful countryside. There is a small convenience store, a 13th century church and frequent community events throughout the year. You are only minutes away from exploring the local countryside either by bike or a local network of footpaths (map available). Visit the Cycle Routes web site for some great cycling inspiration. We are happy to plan and escort guests on walking or cycling day trips (using either your own bicycle or one of ours). This would be an extra cost, but let us know if you want more information. Christian Malford has a day time (not Sundays) bus service to Chippenham where there's a train station. By train from Chippenham you can further explore the beautiful historic cities of Bath (10 mins by train), Bristol (24 mins by train), and Oxford, plus there are frequent trains to London (1.5hrs). The village is a great base for visiting Castle Combe (stunning village and the location for filming of the movie War Horse) Lacock (National Trust Village) Malmesbury, Cirencester, Marlborough and The Cotswolds (about an hour's drive), and for events such as WOMAD, Badminton, and the Chippenham Folk Festival. Self-serve continental breakfast / tea, coffee is included in the price. The kitchenette can be used at any time to prepare your own food. Although WIFI is available, the range and speed of the service within the village of Christian Malford is not as good as city based broadband.
