Artistic stay in Leiden

B&B 3 kastanjes is located on the 1st and 2nd floor of a 100 years old house in the district Vreewijk in Leiden city centre. It consists of one living room and two bedrooms, toilet and bathroom. (for use of 1p bedroom see below at Access for guests). You have lots of privacy: all the services are only used by you and the apartment has its own entrance. You can use (city)bikes for free and payed parking in our street is included. The B&B is Contact Free! In the apartment are a lot of art-objects made by the owner and other artists from Leiden. To make it easy to visit the center, the museums and all other attractions 2 bikes are available for FREE. In Leiden is almost everywhere paid parking. We offer you parking in the street for FREE (parking in the parking garage nearby is 10,00 a day). Further is tourist tax (2.50 pp/pd) included in the price. The apartment in the Witte Rozenstraat has a private entrance. On the first floor are the toilet and the bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and a sink. We will give you towels and there is soap and shampoo. On the second floor are the living room and bedrooms. In the living room is a nice couch and a table with two comfortable chairs. There is a cabinet with TV (SmartTV Internet: Netflix), books, art and lots of leaflets about what to do and visit in Leiden. In the living room is also a kichenette with microwave, fridge and induction hobs and a countertop with sink, coffee maker and kettle. In the cupboard you will find crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Kitchen towels are also available. There is a small balcony. The first large bedroom has a 2 person box spring 160x200. On request, the bed can be split into two one-person beds. There are bathrobes, two suitcase stands and chairs. There is also a cupboard for your clothes. The bedroom has a terrace overlooking the gardens including three chestnut trees. In summer there are many flowers and you can enjoy sitting there with a great view. The second bedroom is on the font side of the house and is for 1 person. This room is only available if booked for 3 persons (contact us if you come with 2 people but you want to use the 2nd bedroom). There is a bed size 90x200, a cupboard for clothes and a chair. For babies up to 2 years we have a cot available. The apartment is a very calm place. We welcome our guests personally and always show them the apartment. Guests who like to be on their own will have their privacy. But we allways try to be available for alle your questions. You can always ring us at Witte Rozenstraat number 48, on our mobile phone, or with text messaging. Furthermore, we have written information about everything you need to know: Wi-Fi, instructions for all the equipment that is present as the microwave, TV, coffee maker, induction cooker, etc. The Witte Rozenstraat is located in the historic district Vreewijk. It's worth taking a stroll through the neighborhood. There are many striking buildings from the beginning of the 20th century: the Ehrenfest House, where Einstein often stayed. Vreewijk house, a manor the district was named after. The pharmological laboratories are now converted into apartments. At the corner of the Witte Rozenstraat and the Witte Singel is a bus stop: bus 1 and 3 both go to the central train station of Leiden and to the station Leiden Lammenschans. Trainstation Leiden Centraal is about 15 minutes walk and 7 minutes by bike. Leiden Lammenschans railway station is less than 10 minutes walk. The bathroom and toilet are located on the first floor. The living room, bedrooms and the terraces are on the 2nd floor. Keep in mind that there are 2 staircases. The owner has an office on the 1st floor. During the week he occasionally uses the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor. It is not allowed to smoke in the apartment. You are allowed to smoke on the terras by the bedroom. The 2nd bedroom is only available if you have booked for 3 people (or on special request, please contact us). The bicycles are city bikes. Very suitable to use in and around Leiden, but not so suitable for long distances (to the beach).
