Le Manoir de la Martinière - Normandy (France)

The Manoir de la Martinière is perfectly located in the heart of the "Pays d'Auge" in the most beautiful part of Normandy, straddling the country and the sea. It looks down on the Touques Valley, the river leading to Deauville and Trouville. It stands amid the most famous stud farms, the equestrian centers and the apple tree fields. The authentic charm and the absolute comfort of a cosy Norman manor, where one will feel independant and will find his own personal space. Guests will love to pace through this 8 acres estate early in the morning or at sunset. They will feel totally immerged in nature, beside the horses and the sheeps that occupy the property all year long. The guests will have access to the entire indoor and outdoor space. We'll always be reachable by mail or phone all through our visitors' stay. The guard couple will always be on location to provide informations and assistance ;-) The manor is dependent on the little town of Saint-Germain-de-Livet, where is located one of the most beautiful hidden architectural treasures of Normandy: the castle. 10 mn walking from the house, a tea room in a small garden of Eden nearby the moat welcomes the visitors in search of an instant bliss (peacocks, swans, hundred-years-old trees). They will get the best welcome if they come on behalf of us... The manor is located the best way, less than 30 mn away from all the landmarks in Normandy: 7mn from the center of Lisieux, its basilica and its cathedral; less than 30mn from Deauville-Trouville, Honfleur and Cabourg, the famous seaside towns in Normandy; 30mn from Caen, its Memorial and the Normandy landings beaches. By train, Paris is only at 1:40 from the Lisieux railway station (several trains a day), and 15mn away from Deauville and Caen. The surroundings gather all the beauties of Normandy. We highly recommend to go for hanging out, bike riding or -even better - horseback riding ;-)) At their arrival, the guests will be provided with the keys of the home and a booklet containing the home rules and the directions for using all the amenities they'll be able to use during their stay (Wifi, dishwasher, washing machine, home cinema, I-Pod, gate alarm, etc).
