This pretty little annexe consists of a double bedroom, bathroom and a study. Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Hurstbourne Tarrant this cosy hideaway is a short stroll from the popular George and Dragon Pub. The village's excellent transport links ensure this property is an ideal base for exploring the Bourne Valley and beyond. The bedroom is a lovely calm space with, our guests tell us, an extremely comfy double bed. A cupboard and chest of drawers provide ample storage for those that require it. The bathroom is situated between the bedroom and living room and separate doors into each of these rooms ensure total privacy if required. The extra deep bath has a shower and screen at one end. The study contains a large desk/chair and a sofa. For infants, a travel cot can be provided upon advance request. There is WiFi throughout the property. The property is accessed by its own private entrance. We provide a contactless check-in via use of a key box. An early check-in MAY be possible - please message me if required. We appreciate most guests do not want to be bothered by their hosts however we will endeavour to be contactable at all times during your stay should you need us and are always happy to offer tips/recommendations. Hurstbourne Tarrant is nestled within Hampshire’s Bourne Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village, lying within the famous 44 mile Test Way walk, is popular amongst walkers and cyclists as well as individuals simply looking for a break from the fast pace of everyday life. The village has excellent transport links to the A303, A34, M3 and M4. There are also train services from Andover (10 minutes away), Whitchurch (15 minutes away) and Newbury (20 minutes away). There are many local points of interest. Highlights include: Highclere Castle (of Downton Abbey fame) and the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. Slightly further afield, Stonehenge, the towns of Stockbridge and Hungerford and the historic city of Winchester are all well worth visiting. We would highly recommend a trip to our village pub, the George and Dragon. For those wishing to venture further afield to eat we are spoilt for choice, - our personal favourites include the Jack Russell (Faccombe), The Crown (Upton), the George (St Mary Bourne) and The Fox (Tangley). The Bourne Valley Inn (St Mary Bourne) has a lovely beer garden. WE WOULD ADVISE BOOKING, especially at weekends, do let us know if we can help with this. As well as the George and Dragon Pub the village is home to the Tea Cosy which serves a delicious collection of cakes, soups and sandwiches (Wed-Sun). The Happy Shopper sells all basic necessities. For those with children, the King George V Playing Field is a very short walk from the annexe and has a lovely park with plenty of space for burning off energy. Most guests arrive by car. This property does not have a kitchen. There is a kettle/tea/coffee/fresh milk/cups and water glasses as well as a fridge in the annexe however, we do not provide breakfast and there are no cooking facilities in the annexe. Please note there is a larger than normal step into the property, (please see photo featuring annexe door). We will provide a camping step to those who need it.
