My place is close to great views, restaurants and dining, the beach, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoors space, the light, and the neighbourhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). The apartment has undergone a complete refurbishment and is now ready to welcome guests. There is a double bedroom with 4ft 6" bed, a small single room, and a sofa bed in the living room, so can sleep 4 The apartment is separate (has its own entrance) but is part of the owners' house and is situated in a delightful position in St Margaret's Bay, both close to the beach and cliffs. Swimming is possible in the bay, and rock pooling is popular at low tide. Stunning views and great walks. There is a small local shop where essentials can be purchased between 8am and 8pm. Tesco superstore is 4 miles away, and Dover and Deal can be reached easily by car. There are regular bus services from the village. The Coastguard pub is extremely popular down on the beach, but booking for a meal is essential. The village has 2 other restaurants, and Deal has plenty to offer. The apartment is for guest use only, and living room has French doors opening onto a sunny patio which looks onto the owner's lovely garden. Access to the apartment is down the garden steps where you will need to call at the owner's front door to collect the key. You will then be shown to the side of the house where there is the entrance to the apartment. Maggie lives in the main house and will be pleased to welcome guests and provide information useful for guests' stay. St Margaret's bay is a unique area of coastline approximately 4 miles from Dover. The famous White Cliffs are owned by the National Trust and are literally 5 minutes walk from the property. The Bay is sheltered by the cliffs and in calm summer seas provides good swimming, paddle boarding and rock pooling at low tides. On clear days the French coast is clearly visible. St Margaret's is rich in history and the Pines Cafe provides good home cooked lunches and is attached to a small museum where you can learn the history of the village. There are hourly buses in the day time to Canterbury, Deal and Dover. There is a very good fast train from Dover to St Pancras International, and this can be picked up from Martin Mill which is only 2 and a half miles from St Margaret's, but this station is sometimes not available at weekends so it is worth checking before travelling. No problems from Dover! There is very poor, if any reception for mobile phones due to the location, (high cliffs, and French reception appears to supersede English in this particular area) There is however WIFI which is generally OK If guests need to contact owner they will need to ring landline number
