And the proximity to beaches, seaport villages as well as the big lights and sounds of Manhattan make it the perfect locale to enjoy the best of both worlds! This beautiful and spacious guest suite is a sparsely-used "extension" to our family home. It is suitable for the single traveler and for families alike. And our guest suite is "fully-equipped" with accessibility features to comfortably accommodate persons with mobility challenges. We are located a short driving distance from: Stony Brook University - 9.1 miles Stony Brook University Medical Center - 10.5 miles John T. Our semi-inground swimming pool is not in use for this summer season. Someone will be available, on-site to assist you throughout your stay. Our tiny community is located along the North Shore of Long Island and boasts an impressive 2-mile section of beach. Miller Place also "hugs" the east side of Mount Sinai Harbor, which it shares with the neighboring small towns of Mount Sinai and Port Jefferson. We are mere minutes to golf, museums, wineries as well as outlet mall shopping AND the Long Island Railroad which will take you to the NYC boroughs; including Manhattan! Most guests arrive at our home via rental car, taxi, Uber or Lyft services. Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) in the Town of Islip is the closest airport to our home, however ISP offers a limited number of daily inbound and outbound domestic flights. JFK International Airport in Queens, New York is the preferred hub for travelers arriving from destinations around the world. Rental car service is available from JFK... our home is approximately 58 miles; eastbound. JFK also offers an Airtrain Service that will connect travelers to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Our home can then be accessed via the LIRR Port Jefferson or Ronkonkoma lines, followed by the aforementioned taxi, Uber or Lyft ride service.
