High-speed wifi inside with NOW tv and outside reaches the private patio with firepit. The entrance with automatic floor lighting often doubles up as a dog bedroom. The cosy hideaway is described by visitors as a 'gem.' Gingell Cottage was intially the spa and toilet to the farm going back 100's of years. It is now hidden behind a grade 2 listed flint stone wall overlooking the pond and stables. The view from the beds at night show some incredible star filled skys. The swings, slide and zip wire provide hours of fun for kids! . OK so we will be all ready for you!. All bleached and COVID steamed, there is hand san in the kitchen. So to get to us the sat nav on our postcode is usually good, IP31 3SG however if you get to a cottage with a willow tree at the end of the drive on your left,keep driving, go over the bridge and we are the first property after the tight left bend - there is a sign saying Grove Farm in the tree. Drive between the trees towards the gates, they will open for you, away from you. Park at the right of the farmhouse front door and you will see a path meander through the garden on your right, this leads you to Gingell Cottage. There is a pin pad on the door, it is quite dark and you have to touch it to activate it, the code is 211276# then open the handle by pushing it UP not down. The lights come on automatically in the entrance and go off again on a timer. There is a white remote for the lamps by the bed on the work surface on the kitchen on your left as you enter. The TV remotes are on the dressing table. You need the NOW remote to work on the HTML2 setting, turn the TV on using the switch , and it should all just load up, if it says no signal simply use the buttons on the side of the TV and select HTML1 and the NOW will then work. The high-speed WIFI is fabulous inside and out of the cottage. GINGELL COTTAGE is the one to select and the password is Welcome1!. There is coffee, tea, and sugar in the cupboard. There is a wonderful walk through 132 acres wildlife park on our doorstep, bring wellies as there has been lots of rain this week. The local Co-Op is 7 mins away with take-out and Thurston train station. There are two sets of gates to the property, the one with the pin pad is for the horses, so please only use the one with the automatic gates and your pin pad is on the cottage door. Gingell Cottage is set in an area of outstanding beauty within the grounds of Grove Farm, the largest property in a small hamlet, Great Green, on the edge of two villages, Thurston and Norton. Grove Farm is grade two listed and is mentioned in the Doomsday book, it offers a place of tranquility and peace, making your break feel quite like a retreat. Dressage horses also live in the 6 acres. The Grove Farm Suffolk Wildlife Park is on our doorstep and is 132 acres of wonderful wildlife. The land was left in the trust of the owner of Grove Farm approximately 30 years ago. She had been sent from Yorkshire in the war and who stayed with the childless couple as the war ended. She two never had a family so she left it to the trust in her will, Grove Farm was to be the head office of the wildlife trust but instead was sold to fund end of life care. There is extensive parking at Grove Farm approached via secure electric gates. The Thurston train line with parking is only a 10-minute drive away. Route 51 bike path to Bury St Edmunds passes the gate entrance. 130 acre Suffolk Wildlife Park is within 100 yard with wonderful walks leading to the Norton Dog pub. The park was the farming land left by Grove Farm owners decades ago, to enable what was once the largest farm in the area, according to the Doomsday boook to be left available for the public to enjoy, wildlife to thrive and guided walks are arranged and enjoyed by many. Grove Farm is on the cycle path 51.
