Baconsthorpe is 3 miles from Holt - nearest beach at Sheringham. Chestnut Cottage is a detached house with everything you need for a peaceful getaway including a spacious living area and conservatory, a private secure garden and off road parking for 2 cars. We can accommodate a maximum of 5 people. There are 3 bedrooms - 1 superking, 1 double, 1 single - and we offer baby equipment. Check in time is 3pm and check out time 10.00am We offer everything we hope you will need for a great stay. ***Please note that the house is NOT suitable for 5 adults plus a baby - there is not enough room. The lounge includes TV with Netflix and Catch Up TV, DVD player, with a bluetooth radio/CD player in the dining area. There is also a selection of books and games together with maps and walks in the area. We have fibre internet. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric hob and oven, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge freezer, a Tassimo coffee machine - bring your pods - and NEW for 2022 a dishwasher! The washing machine is in the garage with an outside airer and pegs. Also an iron and ironing board in the house. Upstairs, the back bedroom is a superking size, the front bedroom is a double - both these rooms have TVs and hairdryers. The third bedroom is a single. All bedrooms have sufficient storage for your holiday. The toilet is separate from the bathroom so no frantic tapping on the door! The bathroom includes a mirror with shaver adapter and an electric shower over the bath. All towels (bath sheets and hand towels) and bedding are included in the price. There is access to the garage for bikes, prams and storage. You are able to use the whole house and garden. All we ask is that you do not park in front of our neighbour's garage. My phone number is in the kitchen if you need assistance. We are in a small village. The nearest shops and pubs are in Holt or in other nearby villages. It is a rural area but great for walking and cycling. There are fabulous beaches all along the North Norfolk coast so perhaps enjoy a spot of seal watching. The stately homes of Blickling, Holkham, Houghton and Felbrigg are lovely and if you are keen runners, the first two offer a Parkrun every Saturday. For shoppers, Holt is packed full of quaint shops; Sheringham is a little more diverse and Cromer has a good mix of local stores and chains. For a more serious expedition then go to Norwich or Kings Lynn. All of these places offer great diverse facilities for children from museums to trampoline venues. Finally for wildlife, Pensthorpe is one of the places to go and children will love the outdoor and indoor play areas as well as the ducks! Once you get to Holt or Sheringham you are able to use public transport - bus and train - to explore the North Norfolk area. The Coasthopper is ideal to hop on and hop off to explore the coast as far as Hunstanton and Kings Lynn. The price includes towels, bedding and hot water for the summer months. The heating is available up to June and from September onwards NOT the summer. For a baby, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available (no cot linen). Please note comment about number of guests PLUS baby. The cot will only fit in the back bedroom.
