Based in the picturesque, quaint and friendly village of Kidd's Beach on the Eastern Cape's premier Sunshine Coast, The Coelacanth is the ideal destination for either the business or leisure guest looking for some peace and tranquility, We are a truly home from home with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and well appointed rooms, we love meeting new people from around the world and sharing a cup of coffee with them. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE OFFERING ROOM ONLY OPTION NOW! NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED. We are homely, friendly fun and sometimes a little quirky. We love to make you feel at home and relaxed. We have four bedrooms and can sleep up to eight guests. Each bedroom is as individual as you are. The bedrooms all come with their own separate garden entrances, complimentary WIFI, flat-screen television with satellite based TV channels. Each room also has its own tea and coffee station. All the bedrooms are en-suite. There is a lovely patio area to relax and sip a great glass of wine and listen to the sound of the waves on the rocks. Strict Covid protocols are in place. Following protocols of guest social distancing and compulsory mask wearing while in any common area applies. Guests are able to access all parts of the grounds/garden, bedrooms, breakfast/dining room, patio. We are more than happy to offer the guest advice for things to do in and around the area from day trips to other amazing places as well as the "lesser known" area that are truly hidden gems of the area. Kidds Beach is a true old fashion coastal village with a sense of community and a great place to feel the holiday spirit. The beach is a small walk (around 500 meters along the beach front road with views of local fisherman to birds and rock pools teaming with life Own transport is a necessity whether going to shops or other areas. In Kidds Beach however it is safe and small enough to get around on foot or bicycle. At The Coelacanth we are unfortunately not pet friendly. Please note that the nightly cost can vary according to the configuration of the guests in the rooms. During the festive season in December and January we become fully self catering that can sleep up to 10 people in 5 rooms for a minimum stay of 10 nights.
