Mountains Calling-Pestera

An exquisite location, best in the Rucar-Bran area. The house is situated on a plateau which gives it spectacular views all around. The views include the two massive mountains Bucegi and Piatra Craiului. The place has privacy and tranquility, the perfect spot for relaxing. It is cozy and peaceful with everything one would need. If you’re into the mountain house lifestyle with board games/tv, a glass of wine by the fireplace, this place suits you. It is also very close to Bran Castle. Because it is located on a plateau, the views are amazing from all sides and the large yard is flat. It is peaceful and private, allowing you almost complete seclusion, yet it is only 10-15 minutes from the Bran Castle area and all that the small town has to offer, with grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and historical attractions. It is also only a half hour from Rasnov Citadel and Dino Parc, and less than an hour from Brasov. Inside the house, the common living area is on the ground floor, which includes a dining table with chairs, a full-sized couch and two love seats, tv, kitchenette, a full bathroom and a nice fireplace, all open space. The three bedrooms, the study area and the second full bathroom are upstairs. There are also two long balconies on the second level. Outside the house you'll find a pergola with large table and chairs, a brick stove/grill, and at night a fully illuminated yard. Guests have access to the entire house and property. Pestera is located on top of the mountain foothills. Almost all properties here are on steep hills, but ours is unique and comfortable because it is flat. In the distance you can hear the neighborhood's farm animals. Our next door neighbors are cows in the pasture that visit in the early evening when they graze. Picture yourself enjoying the fresh air (and there is NOTHING that can describe the fresh air here) and listening to the sounds of the neighbor cow bells and the occasional donkey bray across the hill. Despite this fresh and beautiful oasis that is our property, there is a hotel with a restaurant within walking distance. By car, it is a 10 minute drive to the bottom of the mountain into Moiecu de Jos where you can find restaurants and a grocery store, and an extra 5 minutes drive into Bran where you find lots of activity, people, history, and something new every weekend. In the surrounding radius there are many activities, which include hiking and biking, 4-wheeling, historical landmarks and sights, adventures for kids, horseback riding, tennis, skiing, and restaurants/nightlife. You can also plan several wonderful day trips to visit Rasnov/Dinoparc, Brasov, Busteni, Sinaia, Cheile Gradistei. For people who love hiking and biking, there couldn't be a better location. This house is your home base and you can explore several trails directly from the house. La Table is approximately an hour walk from our house, which is a major intersection of many hiking trails within the Piatra Craiului National Park. And from house to mountain peak (Baciul peak, highest peak on Piatra Craiului) is approximately a 4 hour hike. There is a taxi service in the area that goes all the way to the house. There is plenty of parking on the property if guests have multiple cars. Parking can also be found on the main street. The last 200 meters of the road to the house is not paved (peaceful, quiet and secluded property!), but up to that point the roads are in good shape.
