Character Cottage in Woodstock

Number 19 is an 18th century cottage close to a variety of local restaurants and pubs. Located on the doorstep of Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds, and only 15minutes from Soho Farmhouse. Just a short drive or bus ride gets you to Oxford or Bicester Village, and there are plenty of family-friendly activities and nightlife for you to enjoy. The cottage oozes character and charm with beautiful bedrooms, entertaining spaces and a sun-trap garden The house would suit all types of travellers. The classic exterior and modern interior give a unique charm to the cottage. There is still lots of cottage charm to the internal spaces, with character beams, Cotswold stone walls and inglenook fireplace. Upstairs you will find 3 good sized bedrooms. A master suite boasting an en-suite shower room and dressing room, along with a small view of the Palace grounds behind. The middle bedroom uses the family bathroom, with stand up shower and jacuzzi bath and the top bedroom in the eaves has a roll top bath for you to enjoy. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped for guests that choose to cook, and we will provide you with a few basic essentials to get your stay started. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, tumbles drier, fridge freezer, wine fridge and Nespresso machine to service all needs during your stay. The dining table seats 6 and is located next to the french doors which open up onto the patio and garden. Outside you will find another table, that comfortably seats 6 on a sunny day. You will also find our hot tub, and we provide separate towels and plastic glasses should you wish to use it during your stay. Our garden is fully enclosed, private and safe for children and dogs. If you’re travelling with young children, then we have a few DVD’s, toys, travel-cot, high chair and stair gate available to you if you need it. You will have access to all the principle living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms during your stay, however the basement is out of use and not to be used please. The cottage is located on a single track residential road. There is space to park 2 cars to the front of the property. We ask that you use the parking spaces immediately outside of the house and not to use any of our neighbours spaces. Please be considerate to the neighbours late at night and early in the morning. We fully respect your privacy during your stay, but are on hand should you need recommendations or have any problems. Woodstock is home to many picturesque sights. The cottage backs onto the grounds of Blenheim Palace, with a kissing gate only a few yards away at the top of the road, giving instant access on foot. The palace hosts a number of events throughout the year suitable for families, foodies, historians and art lovers. In Woodstock there are numerous local gourmet pubs, restaurants, cafes and boutique shops all only 10minutes walk from the cottage. Soho farmhouse is just 15minutes drive from Woodstock, and if you fancy topping up your designers labels then Bicester Village is well within reach. There are local busses that can take you into Oxford City, Bicester Village and other nearby towns and Cotswold Villages. Oxford Parkway Train Station is located only 6 miles away, offering good access to Oxford, Bicester Village and London Marylebone. Hanborough train station is just 4miles away and offers train links into The Cotswolds as well as to Reading, Bath and London Paddington.
