Idyllic Thatched Country Cottage - a hidden gem!

Situated in the picturesque village of Wing, this adorable thatched cottage is nestled in the grounds of beautiful Cedar House. The property was fully renovated in March 2021 and is the ideal getaway location to explore everything that stunning Rutland has to offer. The cottage is only 5 minute drive to Rutland Water, Uppingham and Oakham, so you have everything you wish to experience during your stay on your doorstep. Historic Stamford is also only 20 mins away. The cottage was built in 1735 and includes many original features and the space also includes and outdoor seating area only. Cedar Cottage is within the grounds of Cedar House which is our family home Wing village offers a lovely little farm shop and café as well as a quintessentially English gastro pub just a 2 minute walk away. Rutland Water is popular for it's sailing (& other activities at the sailing club), fishing, golfing, bird-watching, windsurfing, cycling, walking; the area also has a beach, an aqua park and many stunning places for picnics. The area boasts many high-end restaurants, such as Hambleton Hall and many popular pubs, bars, eateries and cafes to choose from. Wing is a 30 minute drive from Peterborough train station, which is a 50 minute direct journey from King's Cross, London. Please note: Bedroom is a king size double bed and there is a sofa bed in the living room.
