Honey Bee Barn is a beautiful, detached annexe located at Manor Farm, in the pretty rural village of North Scarle. Our chickens roam freely through the gardens and happily provide you with a fresh yummy breakfast. Conveniently located between the historic cathedral city of Lincoln and the market town Newark. If you prefer quiet countryside walks, you can explore the many nature reserves close by or simply relax in the garden overlooking the paddock and watch the wonderful countryside wildlife. Beautiful detached annexe cottage, with countryside bedroom views. There are 2 separate bedrooms one with a king and one with a double bed. A lovely light living room, kitchen dining with TV. Private entrance, plenty of parking and a garden area just for guests. A complimentary tray of goodies will await your arrival (1 per stay) which includes milk and butter from the local dairy, homemade bread, jam and cookies , fruit and cereals and fresh eggs from our lovely chucks. There is a large driveway with plenty of parking. There is a large paddockto the rear of the property and the public foot path that is directly in front of the property takes you across the fields and into the village where you will find the White Hart pub (serving meals), post office and bus stop taking you to Lincoln or Newark. Guest can normally find me in the property next to Honey Bee Barn. I will be there should guests have any questions. 10 years ago Steve and I moved from the centre of busy Lincoln to this quiet rural village, North Scarle. We brought Manor Farm which at the time was so unloved it was actually falling down. We have spent the last 10 years lovingly renovating the barns and building to bring the old farm back to life. There isn't a day goes by when I'm not bowled over by the beauty of the countryside and all the wildlife on show. The Cuckoo returns every May, wild ducks wonder around the garden and I wouldn't be without the sound of the cockerels call in the morning. It really is the wonderful place to just relax and enjoy the countryside. The beautiful historic cathedral city of Lincoln is 9 miles away. The historic market town of Newark is 9 miles away. There is a bus stop in the village which is 1 mile away. The nearest train station is at Swinderby 4 miles away. Collingham village with shops and a train station is 5 miles away. The white hart pub in North Scarle serves food, 1.4 miles away. The bottle and glass pub in Harby serves food, 2.7 miles away. There are chickens, dogs and cats at the property next door and will be out in the main garden. There are often wild geese and ducks that visit the garden. The mobile connection is poor in the area but the WiFi is good. Manor Farm is no longer working farm however you may hear farm noise and tractors due to our rural location.
