My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. Ground floor flat opening onto a pretty garden in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Garden Flat has spacious rooms with floors of solid oak or old quarry tiles; bespoke curtains and hand knotted rugs give a relax, elegant and comfortable atmosphere. Optical fibre broadband, Induction hob, Satellite TV and a heating system with 'Nest' thermostat, provide guests with hi-tech control of their environment. The kitchen is equipped with fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer (also line outside), microwave, kettle, toaster and lots of china and pans. One of two flats here, each flat is private and self-contained. The Garden Flat has a private veranda and guests have access to most of the 3 acres of grounds around the house. We keep the top lawn immediately behind the house and a small area of garden to the side of the house private. We're always happy to suggest places to eat or visit and recommend walks of varying lengths in the beautiful countryside that surrounds us. Westcott nestles in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) between the North Downs and Leith Hill. We are surrounded by excellent bike/horse trails and footpaths. Pretty markets towns of Dorking, Guildford, Reigate and Farnham are between 2 & 24 miles away. There are many National Trust properties a short distance away and some outstanding gardens including Wisley. The commercial centres of London, Crawley & Croydon can be reached within an hour out of the main rush hour and the coast is an hour away too Dorking Main station is 2.5 miles away with regular service to London. Dorking Deepdene is on the line that runs between Redhill and Reading. Gatwick is about 1/2 hour away and Heathrow 45 minutes - traffic permitting. There are shops 7 mins walk away that supply almost all usual needs, as well as the excellent Kingfisher farm shop in the next village and Waitrose, Sainsburys and Lidl in Dorking 2 miles away. We are hidden on a country road, but I give detailed directions on how find us and supply my mobile number for any extra help.
