Peaceful double room with a view of the Kent North Downs valley in my (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s art-deco styled home. Room has a TV, wardrobe space and desk space. There is also access to a private large bathroom across the corridor. Luxury bedding and a comfy sprung mattress. My home reflects my long career as an opera producer- with elegant posters, some designed by artist Ralph Steadman. The 'blue room' has a private bathroom including a bath and shower. Guests also have access to communal areas including a large dining and living room, fully equipped kitchen and a terraced garden spreading over 4 rising levels with beautiful views of the North Downs, as well as a front patio and courtyard at the back. The garden is lit up at night, a romantic spot to enjoy a glass of bubbly and watch the sunset. There is also an additional dining space (so guest can have as much space as they choose) and a laundry room including a dryer. I provide tea, coffee and biscuits in your room. I provide eggs, bread, butter, cereal and fruit. Also all essentials in your private bathroom, such as shower gel, shampoo etc. Guests have access to large garden at the front and back of the house, which rises to four levels, with an even nicer viewing spot. Guests also have access to the kitchen and large living room area. laundry room with dryer and additional dining area. I'm sociable and happy to chat with guests and give them advice on the area, which I know well having lived in Kent for many years, but also will give guests their space. The house is set back from a quiet road and is very peaceful at night. It is a short walk from the rolling valleys of the North Downs and nature reserves. Temple Ewell is a very pretty village; Kent known as ‘the Garden of England' has very picturesque villages and beautiful countryside. A 15 minute stroll from my house, through Temple Ewell village leads you to the historic Kearsney Gardens. There are also several local countryside pubs, either in walking distance or a short drive away. The Lydden Bell (in Lydden village a 10 min drive/bus journey) serves amazing food. Dover, 5 mins drive/bus journey away, has the historic Dover Castle up on the cliff top and two very good restaurants, the Marina Hotel and Hythe Bay Fish restaurant with panoramic views of the sea. There are also local takeaway restaurants close to my house, including a fish and chip shop and Indian. In Canterbury, also close by, the local Marlowe Theatre shows lots of big shows including musicals there's Canterbury Cathedral, canal boat rides and several delicious restaurants . Kearnsey railway station is a 10 minute walk from the house taking you to Dover (one stop) or Canterbury (15 mins). There are also very good bus links to Dover, Deal, Canterbury and Folkestone, so you are a doorstep away from several seaside towns and also the historic cities of Canterbury and Dover (which are also a short drive away). I am close to Ashford International where you can take the Eurostar and I am very ideally located to take the ferry crossing from Dover to Calais. From Dover you can also take the high speed train to London- which takes just one hour. You can also take a train from London Victoria, which takes you directly to Kearnsey railway station. Please note that this property is not suitable for children under the age of 12 years old.
