Spacious apartment (90m²/GF/garden/near LUX)

Situated where the three countries Germany / Luxembourg / France meet. This spacious and quiet apartment with its private entrance through the garden, is surrounded by a rose hedge. The altitude of the small town of Kastel-Staadt offers a magnificent view of the surroundings. Small library, fireplace and parquet provide comfort. The hiking trail 'Kasteler Felsenpfad' starts almost at the doorstep. Good gastronomy in easy reach? Restaurant St.Erasmus in TRASSEM (ca. 4 km). Cozy accommodation for 1, 2 or 3 guests that love nature. There is only one bedroom with a double bed and a full adequate single bed (plus cod, if requested). An alternative sleeping possibility is the couch in the living room. The apartment is equipped with everything, so that no linen, towels etc. must be brought along. The view from the windows of the living room is directed to the garden and to the opposite forest. Kastel-Staadt itself is full of history of the Celts, Romans and the Middle Ages and is a perfect starting point for hikes and numerous other activities (cultural, sporting, culinary) in the surrounding regions of SAARBURG, TRIER, LUXEMBURG and METZ (F), by bike, car and river boats. Access for guests The garden, with several seats, a large water basin and a small orchard with old apple trees, is also available to the guests of the apartment. A parking space for your car is on the property and a shelter for bicycles is also available. Since the second apartment of the house is occupied by myself you can contact me anytime. The apartment is located high above the river Saar in a residential area in front of the old village center. Kastel-Staadt scores with history: Celts - Romans - Middle Ages - Modern times - (Klause, Roman Theater, Tomb of Johann, the Count of Luxembourg and King of Bohemia, buildings by Friedrich Schinkel, Ehrenfriedhof) Traumschleifen Hiking trail "Kasteler Felsenpfad" directly in front of the house and what a wonderful view! In immediate and slightly further neighborhood: FREUDENBURG (ca. 2km) (baker, butcher, pharmacy, doctor) SAARBURG (about 8km) (supermarkets, all shops, many good restaurants, wine tasting, ship mooring for Saar and Moselle rides, indoor swimming pool, waterfall in the old town, Saarburg and museums, all doctors and hospital, train station ... ORSCHOLZ and METTLACH within 10km with wave pool and sauna in the spa center plus EU center for TCM, small outlet for example Villeroy&Boch, Porcelain Museum ... TRIER (approx. 35 km) the oldest city in Germany (about 100.000 inhabitants) with many museums and historical buildings (for example the Porta Nigra - Trier's symbol), pedestrian zone with international atmosphere, student city, great culinary and cultural offer. LUXEMBOURG (about 20km) LUXEMBOURG CITY ca. 40km Cosmopolitan country, multicultural city - with European institutions, high-profile festivals, exhibitions, concerts and theatrical performances; UNESCO World Cultural Heritage FRANCE (about 25 km) METZ (about 70km) with St.Etienne Cathedral (Marc Chagall's church windows), Center Pompidou-Metz, dive into the French way of life ... Bus connection to Luxembourg - direct connection to Luxembourgs old town - departure very close, Bus connection to the nearest localities (Saarburg, Mettlach ...) exists - but scarse. If you want to travel by train, I'll pick you up from the train station in Saarburg! Flights: Frankfurt-Hahn, then by bus directly to Trier Central Station and by train to Saarburg - or - Flight to Luxembourg, then by bus or train to Trier Central Station and then by train to Saarburg.
