Bedandbreakfast54 is a restored farmhouse from 1810 located in Nijensleek (Drenthe). National parks, culture, picturesque villages, hiking and cycling. COVID-19 restrictions: you have the entire appartment with 1 dbl and 1 sgl room (shared bathroom) at your disposal. The remaining dbl room with private bathroom is locked and only available upon request in case of 3 or more persons in one family. In the small village of Nijensleek, located in Drenthe near Friesland and Overijssel, you will find Bedandbreakfast54, opened in mid-2012. Our B&B is synonymous with: the charm of the old, combined with the comfort of the present. COVID-19 ADAPTION: we currently only rent 1 double rooms (dbl bed) at € 80 and 1 single room for a possible accompanying guest at € 40 EXCL. BREAKFAST. The bathroom is shared by both rooms. Our price refers to the price of a dbl room. Do you want to book 2 rooms for 2 people instead of using 1 dbl, then book 1 extra person (total 3 persons). The closed double room with adjacent bathroom is only available on demand for more than 3 guests from the same family. Our B & B has an OWN ENTRANCE, spacious LIVING ROOM and KITCHEN and is a SEPARATE APARTMENT with 2 bedrooms ((3rd double room upon request for more than 3 people). GROUND FLOOR: entrance and a spacious living / dining room with fully equipped open kitchen, spacious bathroom with toilet, sink, shower and bath, open staircase to the bedrooms on the 1st floor. FIRST FLOOR: single room, double room with shared bathroom on the ground floor (dbl with private bathroom only upon request for more than 3 people in one family). In the BACK YARD is a GARDEN TERRACE where you can enjoy the rural feeling with a view of the cows of our neighbor. It is a lovely place to enjoy the late afternoon sun and beautiful garden. At the front is a bench where you can relax in the morning sun. AMENITIES * fully equipped kitchen * digital TV * free WIFI * bath robes * rental bikes * car navigation system * map with info on cultural activities,sightseein(URL HIDDEN) spots and restaurants * borders a cycling path * you can quickly charge your electric car (32 Ampère power flow) for a fee of € 7! Incidentally our Bed and Breakfast will be closed to make way for Gallery 54, with an exhibition of wooden art objects made by owner Maurits van Geel and a number of his colleagues. Some objects are displayed in our B & B throughout the year. Our guests have a lot of privacy. We have traveled a lot ourselves and enjoy receiving domestic and foreign guests and to make people feel at home. Do you appreciate peace or interaction: we can settle for both! The main features of our B&B: rural atmosphere, near many scenic villages, lots of local events/markets in the summer time. The village of Giethoorn, also known as 'Venice of the north', is just one example of 'must see' items. BUS Local buses are available to surrounding villages/cities. TRAIN By train, travel to Steenwijk (6 km from the B&B). If you let us know your plans, we may be able to pick you up at the station. Currently we do not serve breakfast, but the kitchen is fully equipped to be self-sufficient.
