Weskus-Beskus is a recently completed 2 bedroom, dog friendly house on the beach. Purpose designed, in a modern West Coast Style. All rooms have ocean views. En suite bedrooms, quality beds and Egyptian cotton awaits you. Inside and outside braai areas and the third, a starry sky Boma Braai. Large veranda. Comfortable modern uncluttered interior. Stunning sunsets. Miles of safe, sandy beach. Bring your dog! 165 km from Cape Town, 13 km from Velddrif. All welcome. Weskus-Beskus has been designed for a laid back weekend or holiday. Brunch on the veranda and an afternoon braai watching the sun set over the Atlantic. Potjie/BBQ in the boma. Direct access to the beach for long strolls, or a quick dip. The slow combustion stove will keep you warm at night and the sound of the waves will send you drifting off on quality beds. The house is free standing and parking for 3 cars is provided on site. Mariette will be your local host. She lives up the street and will be available If I am not around. Dwarskersbos is a quiet place, 10 minutes or so north of Velddrif, where you will find most necessities. Superspar and OK Foods, Pharmacy Doctors etc. The fishing harbour in Laaiplek is a photographer's dream. A walk down Bokkom Lane in Velddrif is always enchanting. Dwarskersbos is often used by guests as a base for exploring the West Coast;- Elandsbay, Redelinghuys, Veldrif, Laaiplek, St Helena Bay and Paternoster. Rocherpan Nature and Bird sanctuary is located mere minutes north. A variety of restaurants/pubs/take away places are located within Velddrift/Laaiplek catering for every taste/budget further afield;- Paternoster is home to some of SA's best known Chefs - book in advance. You need a car. A bicycle will help you getting around. The beach is perfect for cycling at low tide. The property is not fenced in - open to the street and to the beach. You are welcome to bring dogs, but must ensure they remain with you and not wander off. Clean up after your dog/s. Please respect the Green Belt between the house and the Beach - keep it clean and NO driving on the Beach. There is a single person Kayak and SUP available for use.
