The Good Shepherd Hut with wood-fired hot tub

A beautiful brand new Shepherd's Hut nestled in it's own little paddock, in rural Hampshire within the South Downs National Park. The hut's bespoke design ensures a luxurious stay with a comfy double bed, free WiFi, underfloor heating, wood-burning stove, sofa, kitchenette and ensuite. Outside there’s a fire pit/BBQ, picnic table and wood-fired hot tub offering glorious views across fields. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind and soak-in the hot tub surrounded by nature. The Good Shepherd Hut has been built by master craftsmen to a high specification with every requirement catered for. Each little detail has been chosen to create a homely atmosphere. Here you will find, a fridge/mini freezer, butler's sink, dual hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, bluetooth radio, crockery and cutlery. There's a sofa and fold down table and chairs from which to dine, watch nature, or stream movies! For added luxury, towelling robes and slippers are provided with an ensuite rainforest shower offering instant hot water and a flushing loo. Outside, you'll find your own small private paddock complete with picnic table, fire pit/BBQ, bench seat and wood-fired hot tub. The paddock offers privacy and plenty of space to take in the glorious views over fields. Sunbathe and watch stunning sunsets, or stargaze from the Scandinavian style wood-fired hot tub. Often you will see deer playing in the fields, with barn owls, rabbits, pheasants, grouse and birds of prey. We provide a welcome bundle of logs and kindling wood and a complimentary tea tray and continental breakfast. There are hundreds of walks and bike rides connecting us to the South Downs National Park and Ashford Hangers and a variety of pubs serving great food and quintessential English villages to discover locally. If you like watersports, the coast is easily accessed within 30 minutes, or simply relax and unwind soaking in the hot-tub, gazing at the stars and enjoying the peace and comfort you will find here. We offer private parking on the driveway of our thatched cottage, with a 70 metre walk to access the little paddock where the hut enjoys it's own secluded and private space. We are on hand to answer questions, but will leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounds. This is an ideal location for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers and those just simply wishing to get away from the hassles of everyday life! We live in a thatched cottage on the property and will be here to welcome you and settle you in. We will leave you to enjoy the rural location, but we are available should you have any questions. Private parking is on our driveway and there is a short walk to the little paddock where you will find your Shepherd's Hut at the end of our garden. The Shepherd's Hut is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the outskirts of the small village of High Cross, within the parish of Froxfield. There is a village shop and post office within walking distance and several pubs located within a short drive. Situated in a very private, rural location, yet only 10 minute's by car from the pretty market town of Petersfield with its coffee shops, boutiques and farmers' markets. The Shepherd's Hut has beautiful views over agricultural land, and is surrounded by sheep farms from where you will often hear the distant bleating of sheep and baaing of lambs! We regularly see deer in the field, a resident barn owl, red kites, eagles and buzzards with partridges, pheasants and grouse visiting our garden. It is a nature lover's paradise! There are miles of country lanes to explore by bicycle and plenty of footpaths connecting us to the South Downs Way. This is a wonderul spot to relax, restore and unwind in the tranquility and beauty of the South Downs National Park. Although rural, we are conveniently located 10 minutes by car from Petersfield with easy road and rail links to London (1 hour) and Portsmouth (30 minutes). Coastal towns and beaches are only 25 minutes away, where you can sail, paddle board, canoe and kayak in the glorious safe waters of Chichester harbour. We are equidistant to the cathedral cities of Winchester, Chichester and Guildford and the Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth. There is plenty to do, if you can only tear yourself away from the hot tub and the spectacular sunrises, sunsets and starry skies of Froxfield! We allow 24 hours between guests to deep clean and refresh the hut so that it is sparkling for your arrival. With this in mind, we ask for a two night minimum stay. We supply a couple of wheelbarrows of logs, kindling wood and firelighters to get you started. If you would like to purchase more please let us know. We charge £10 per wheelbarrow full of logs.
