The Barn
Surrounded by open countryside and a superb walking distance away from the Devils Punch Bowl our converted barn is the perfect place to come and relax. It comfortably sleeps 5 and is self contained with its own kitchen and laundry facilities. We have Ultrafast fibre should you need it for work or just to stream a film. The barn sits within our grounds and is private however should you need anything I am always around. We are within an hours drive from both London and Goodwood. The barn has its own private access and parking. There is a small garden outside with a bench table and parasol for dining in the summer months. Inside on the ground floor there is one bedroom (king size bed) with en-suite. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one single and one double (king size bed) along with the main bathroom. There is also a mezzanine reading area with plenty of books to choose from. The main lounge area has a fireplace for colder evenings for which we provide the wood. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The barn has its own outside space with private parking and outdoor seating. Please note that the main house’s garden (leading up from stepping stones) are private and not for guest use. As my family and I live next to the barn, there is nearly always someone around should you need it. Our cockapoo, Coco is very friendly and you may see her milling around the property. We live on a lane that leads directly to the Devils Punchbowl. It’s a beautiful place with great walks and stunning views and scenery. Down at the bottom of the lane and turning right, there is The Three Horseshoes pub which is our local and very popular (about a 20 minute walk from the barn). It’s a good old fashioned pub serving delicious food. If you turn left at the bottom of the lane, there is a play area for children. We are located 10 minutes from Milford which has a Co-op, Tesco, Secretts farm shop, Post Office, butchers and a chemist. We are just under an hour from London, Goodwood and Wimbledon and about 40 minutes from Portsmouth. The nearest train station should you want to come by taxi is Godalming. Unfortunately there is no public transport in Thursley and we are at the top of the lane therefore a car is essential. The barn has its own private parking area to allow a maximum of 3 cars. No parking is permitted on the lane. We live next to the barn and as such you may see us sometimes working in the yard, especially in the winter months as this is when we process the wood for the fires. We are situated on a green lane that leads directly onto the Devils Punch Bowl and are also surrounded by a mixture of farms and equestrian properties therefore you may sometimes hear farm animals as well as tractors and machinery. A public footpath runs past the back of the barn. The lane is popular with cyclists, walkers, motorcycles and horses. Pets must not be left unattended in the barn.
