*Old Sea Captains House- close to everything

Old terraced house built in 1840 with the back of house being added in 1860.There are some low ceilings as original features have been left. My place is a short walk from the beach, right on the edge of the high street. Ideal for 2 couples, activities, nightlife and public transport. Littlehampton has plenty to offer, a beautiful seafront, crazy golf, tennis courts, plenty of cafes including the famous East Beach Cafe, great places to eat, something for everyone, Close to Littlehampton station We are committed to the new Airbnb cleaning policies, please be aware we can now only leave limited areas and equipment out for guests. 1 double bedroom and 1 with a small double both on 2nd floor of the property, the house is ideal for 2 couples or a couple and 1 older child, there are 2 lounges, 1 with a tv Sky tv - not sports channels- and 1 with music, both with chairs, Sky broadband updated to latest speeds and a lovely garden for those who like to sit outside and watch the birds (please feed the sparrows , they are always hungry !) Also this is a Town Centre location, a road runs by the house, you can hear traffic though at night there isn’t very much on the roads there, however please be aware that you WILL hear it ! **Car Parking - I have highlighted free parking available - this is only from 6pm - 8 am , other than this it is disc parking with 2 hours free between the hours of 8 am - 6pm, you can extend the over night by putting the disc on at 4 - taking you up to the free parking time and then sometime after 6 changing it to say 8am which then takes you up until 10am. after this you have to leave the car park for 1 hour before a return of another 2 hours , you can of course pay or move on to the free street parking of which there is plenty in the roads behind.** Modern kitchen with oven, microwave and everything you need, a dining room in the converted cellar, lounge, modern bathroom, 2 bedrooms, the whole house is yours, also a desk area in the 2nd lounge for those who are here to work. **Update** Because of Covid note that the dining room is in a cellar where there is no natural air flow, the rest of the house we do keep the windows open to air but we can't for the cellar so although we clean it thoroughly each time and spray with hospital strength anti bacterial cleaner we can't do more than that, we have put a couple of tables up in the sitting room to use for eating as well and obviously if you want to use the dining room you can but suggest you spray each time you go down there for safety - thank you for your understanding. **Parking **- opposite the house is a town car park, free between the hours of 6pm and 8am, we also have a parking disc which you can use for a 2 hour slot; set for 8am and it gives you a lie in until 10; you can pay after this and stay all day and would cost around £7 a day: currently the car park is half closed and being used for a construction company who are doing regeneration work in the town centre so once you leave during the day you won’t get back in until the evening as everyone is looking to park. There are also plenty of streets behind the house where parking is free where you can leave your car during the day time, hope that helps. I am available by phone and not far away if there is a problem, 2 of my neighbours also have keys to the property and are about to give a hand for any problems if I am not about Littlehampton is a lovely sea front, the town has supermarkets, plenty of places to eat and a couple of lovely pubs particularly the Arun View. It is an ideal place to stay if attending Goodwood Circuit, Arundel, Chichester, The South Downs and very easy to get around. The Rolls Royce factory is pretty close by as well for anyone needing somewhere to stay for work. Unfortunately there is no parking at the property but there is a 2 hour stay car park opposite which I have a disc for, there is also plenty of street parking behind the property. Our little row of cottages sit on the main road but as the shops are shut by 8 the road is pretty quiet in the evenings . Anything else that you need to know please ask You can catch a 700 bus up and down the coast, the trains to London Victoria, Brighton, Southampton and Bognor and anywhere inbetween, the bus terminus is about a 5 minute walk away as is the train station so all public transport is within easy reach. Places nearby for work or visits include Goodwood, all circuits, Rolls Royce -both Goodwood and Bognor Regis sites, Body Shop, Westdean College and Gardens, Weald & Downland Museum and plenty more The water pressure in the road is quite low so although the shower works without any problems the bath would take an age to fill - use it with pleasure but don't try it in a rush, if you fancy feeding my mass of sparrows in the garden happy for you to look after them for me too. Breakfast is provided in the form of cereal, milk and bread and spreads. if you are around for longer than a week and want me to arrange cleaning then happy to arrange, there is a washing machine and clothes line for any washing
