Luka's Hut, eco-cabin with sauna by the river

Luka's Hut, our beautiful holiday cabin, sits on the banks of the Ganzendiep river in Overijssel. Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water, perfect for swimming, rowing our little boat, or using the SUPboard. The eco-build cabin has a heatpump and floorwarming, with upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully equipped kitchen, a firepit & trampoline. Wake up to the morning sun twinkling through the leaves of the majestic tree, and look out over the cow pasture to the Ganzendiep river. Enjoy morning yoga in the living room with sun pouring through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Sit down on the couche on the terrace to soak up the view and watch the boats passing by. Take to the water in our little rowing boat, on the sup board, or just dive straight in. After a long day of adventures, light a fire in the wood burning stove, and relax with a long candlelit bath. The master bedroom has a queensize bed, space for a travelcot and big sliding glass doors into the garden. The second bedroom has a bunk-bed with two double beds - big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. There is a good range of dry food available in case you forgot something and basic items such as sugar, salt, tea and cooking oil. There are plenty of board games, books, and lego to entertain our youngest guests. There is perfect wifi if you need to stay connected. You can park your car behind the gates on the premisses. It is possible to lower a (trailer) boat into the river at the small harbour of the farm next door. The house is pet-friendly. Lucinda is always available by Airbnb message, (Hidden by Airbnb) or by phone. There are caretakers living in the village nextdoor who can help solve problems too. Luka's Hut is on a unique location in Nederland, with fabulous views onto the slowing moving river only used for recreation. You sit and watch little boats and sailing boats come by, and the water birds in their paradise. It is super relaxed, very quiet and peaceful, but also the water offers a lot of entertainment. You can go for a run around De Noord, or take the bikes to visit the stunning Hanzestad of Kampen, 4kms away. Kampen is a beautiful medieval town, full of history with beautiful city gates, good restaurants and good shopping. Luka's Hut is close to the National Park de Weerribben.. a perfect place to visit for the day, to see the reed (riet) growing and being harvested, rent a canoe or whisper-boat, take a hike, or cycle through. The village of Giethoorn which attracts huge amounts of tourists is on the northern edge of the Weerribben, and worth a peek at. To the south the national nature park the Veluwe stretches out with forrests, sanddunes and fields of heather. There are many more interesting locations to visit such as Schokland, Urk, museum de Fundatie, estate Anningahof and several lakes. We have 3 adult bikes (one with a backseat for kids) and 1 adult/child tandem, and a 22 inch bike that you can use to get around. You are also welcome to use our Canadian Canoe, kayak, tiny rowing/sailing boat and the Stand Up Paddle board. If you want to come with public transport, the nearest train station is in Kampen, 3km away or Kampen-Zuid, 6km away, then take an OV fiets or taxi to Luka's Hut. There is also a bus which brings you to Grafhorst (the very small village which is nearest to our holiday house) but it goes very seldom.
