A stylish secluded, two storey, oak framed barn with tennis court, 4 miles from Winchester. Homely space with two bedrooms plus a sofa bed and ground floor open plan living area, The Barn adjoins the Watercress Way and stands separately in the grounds with views over open Hampshire fields. Nearest neighbour c.1 mile away but there is loads to do in the area with an abundance of country pubs, one or two within walking distance and beaches within 50 minutes. The Barn welcomes you with a stylish decor. The ground floor offers an open plan living space with good WiFi connection for video calling if needed, log burner (supplied with one full basket of logs - please ask if more is needed) and large flat screen TV with surround sound, a fabulous sofa and two feathered cushioned arm chairs. The kitchen/dining room is fitted out with all you might need to be self sufficient. Upstairs is laid out with two, light, double bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. The landing offers ample space for the fifth bed which has a purpose built-in sprung mattress. The two bedrooms are laid out with a king size bed in one and two singles in the other, which can be made up as a double bed on request. Supplied with Egyptian linen, towels, bathrobes and some toiletries in the bathroom. Patio and BBQ area are located through double doors from living area/ kitchen overlooking open private lawn with king size hammock and fire pit overlooking a lawned area with trees. A private tennis court and table tennis are also available on request. Mountain bikes also available to hire. Things to do :- * 4 miles to historic Winchester and its lovely food markets, * walking distance to The Wonston Arms, an award winning pub * river walks along the famous River Itchen, * endless walking, bicycle rides and running - we are on The Watercress Way (upto 26 mile circuit) which leads to numerous routes through the surrounding countryside * stunning South Downs National Park (10 min drive away) or by mountain bike * the south coast and its beaches and the New Forest (all reached in under an hour). * the market town of Alresford is a short drive along with local pubs. ~Whilst The Barn is not set up with equipment for infant children many happy parents have enjoyed staying with their young children. Private property behind secure electric wooden gates accessed off a track. Happy to help with any advice on local attractions or leave you in peace! Plenty of walking and biking (on and off road trails) from the Barn, South Downs National Park starts in Winchester, about 4 miles to the south and fantastic south coast beaches, c.50 mins drive. Winchester is 10 mins away. Car required / Local taxis are very efficient. Or by bicycle, which we can hire out if needed. Winchester 4 miles away with its many good restaurants, street market and shops. Wonderful walks and market towns to visit. The South Downs, River Itchen, the coast and New Forest are all accessible within an hour. Good central location to visit the scenic county and other historic towns and cities.
