My home is located 7 minutes from town and is in the woods with a private walking trail and pond. There is plenty of parking, a deck to enjoy in the summer and a cozy wood stove in the winter. One of the fun things about staying at The Purple Chef's House is the mini cooking lesson that comes with your breakfast, should you want to watch. The Purple Chef's House is a wonderful rural hideaway hosted by one of Brattleboro's leading caterers. One of the highlights of staying at The Purple Chef's House is the mini cooking lesson that comes with your customized breakfast. Well behaved dogs (sorry, no cats due to allergies) and their humans can relax and enjoy a comfortable, private wooded setting three miles from downtown Brattleboro, conveniently located near routes 91, 9 and 30, Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain. Spacious grounds include 6 acres, a wooded walking trail, picturesque pond, open grassy areas for frisbee and a large deck overlooking the pond for outside eating, relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature. Single room with a double bed and private bath available. This space rents for $165 per night on the weekend and $115 during the week. Second available space is a loft sleeping area which is appropriate for teenage family members and above. It sleeps two with two twin beds. Loft space rents for $55.00 per night which includes tax. Gourmet breakfast provided by the owner. One Shetland Sheep dog in residence. WIFI available. No smoking allowed on the premises. The style of this house is eclectic. Colorful, energizing and cozy. The guest bedroom is decorated with handmade original quilts. The private bath has a tub shower unit and is across the hall from the bedroom. There is a sunken living room with a wood stove and TV. There is also a comfortable sofa in the dining room area that is great for lounging. Tea and coffee are always available. The wood stove is on most evenings in the fall and winter. Located 3 miles from town and there are many restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. The town has a wonderful museum and fun shops. Very close to the ski slopes. We are on a dirt road surrounded by woods but easily accessible. This is a house designed for entertaining and company. And you must love dogs. (There is a $25.00 surcharge per dog.) Living room, dining room, deck, woods walk. I love to interact with my guests to find out about them, their careers etc. Mostly over breakfast. I love that it's 5 minutes from town yet you are nestled in the woods. There are dirt roads for walking, biking and running. It's very private but close to everything. You need a car to get there. Amtrak has a stop in downtown Brattleboro. If you need a rental car, Enterprise will meet you with your car. Their number is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). I'm always happy to have my guests hang out in the kitchen and ask me questions while I'm cooking. Before each guest arrives, I will ask what their food allergies and food preferences are and will acccomodate your wishes as much as possible.
