A trail of ten poems set in stone and metal plaques guide you through the wide and picturesque High Street that contains an impressive range of shops, pubs, restaurants, delicatessens and traditional butcher’s, greengrocer’s, fishmonger’s and clothing shops. Renowned throughout the world as the home of the best chalk stream fly-fishing, Stockbridge also sits at the centre of multiple walking and cycling routes (such as the Test Way and the Clarendon Way), and is close to Danebury Hillfort, Houghton Lodge Gardens, Longstock Watergardens, Mottisfont Abbey, Danebury Vineyards and the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop. Stockbridge is on the A30, a short drive from the M3 and A303 and is well served by nearby mainline railway stations at Winchester, Salisbury, Andover and Grateley.
