Holly House is a Victorian terraced house, situated just off Durham Road in Birtley and is close to all local amenities. The property has 3 bedrooms and a desk space with free & fast broadband, so is great for business travellers or those who need to 'work-from-home' as well as for those spending time visiting family and friends in the area. Located just 7 miles from Newcastle and 7 miles from Durham we are very central with good road and public transport links. Holly House is a Victorian terraced house, with a vast, open living / dining room and doors leading out onto a pleasant patio area with rattan seating. The kitchen is modern with integrated appliances including a washing machine and dishwasher, oven and hob. A huge bathroom provides a touch of luxury with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower. The property has 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a large double, Bedroom 2 is a large twin and Bedroom 3 has one single bed. A desk space is also available in Bedroom 3 enabling a quiet, space from which to work. Guest comfort is at the heart of what we do and cleanliness is standard. We are strictly a No Smoking property. A garage is available to the rear of the property as well as a pleasant outdoor seating area. We're just a phone call away should you need us during your stay. If you don't need us, then we won't intrude other than to bring you fresh towels and give the place a clean. We'll do that every 5th day. Birtley, once a town with a rich mining history, is now an increasingly vibrant industrial town with new and independent businesses opening on the High Street. There are coffee shops, a deli or two and an array of take-aways and restaurants should you choose not to cook. A-la-Turka is a fabulous Turkish restaurant at the south end of Durham Road, which i'd definitely recommend, The Jewel in the Crown is a local Indian Restaurant and The Moulders Arms does great pub food too all are within walking distance. An Italian Restaurant, The Tavistock, is a 5 minute drive away. We're situated just 1 mile from the A1 and public transport links to Newcastle, Gateshead, Chester-le-Street and Durham are regular.
