The Pavilion - Spacious, contemporary - idyllic

Welcome to The Pavilion, a detached property positioned within the grounds of the Old Rectory, Stanningfield. Next door to St. Nicholas' Church, it offers picturesque scenery & top quality facilities. Staying here offers you the chance to unwind in luxury whilst enjoying birdsong from our resident birds including European green woodpecker, tawny owl and fieldfare. The all-glass frontage provides access to a covered veranda overlooking the grounds of the Old Rectory and the tennis court. The Pavilion was built in 2009 on the site of the original stables. It is architecturally designed using modern building techniques and materials, yet sits well in its position opposite the 15th Century, St. Nicholas Church. The property has been stylishly furnished with both new and vintage pieces complimenting the modern internal design which features birch-faced ply cladding. The bed experience is luxurious- all linens are white and made of the finest Egyptian cotton, the duvets are 100% natural fibres with goose or duck feather & down filling. The beds are divans with sprung bases and top quality 2400 pocket sprung mattresses. In the kitchen we offer a Bosch fan oven and grill, Bosch fitted microwave and Neff induction hob. There is also an under counter fridge with freezer compartment. Tasteful tableware, glassware and cookware including a cafetière and teapot. There is a small utility area offering a washing machine with clothes airer, ironing board and iron. The Pavilion offers one ground-floor bedroom with kingsize bed and a second bedroom situated in the eaves with two single beds and an additional lounge area with sofa and tv. In the large ground-floor living room there is stylish glass dining table with seating for four people and two sofas in neutral tones. There is a large wall mounted Smart TV with access to live and on demand channels. The room features a wall of glass overlooking the grounds st The Old Rectory and the tennis court. The sliding doors open onto a covered veranda which also has a dining table, seating for four people and a large BBQ. There is a full size drum kit available to use at your leisure. The bathroom offers double-sink, w/c and walk-in shower. There is a seating area for drying off after your shower. Make sure you bring your tennis rackets along, The Pavilion is located near to the tennis court which visitors are welcome to use at their leisure. Please note the owners may use the court on occasion. Your hosts, Katy and Leo Duguid live at The Old Rectory with their 2 daughters and are available throughout your stay to assist with any questions. There are many great walks available from the doorstep and much wildlife to be seen. A box file of local places of interest is available at the pavilion. The Pavilion has its own gate and car park for 3 cars. The property is a 10 minute drive from junction 44 of the A14. There is an hourly bus service which operates between Bury St. Edmunds and Sudbury via. Lavenham the bus departs from the Village Green (0.4 miles from the property). During summer and early autumn, as the fruit ripens in the orchard, cherries, plums apples and pears will be available from our organic trees. The Pavilion is located next door to a working arable farm and during key farming periods there is some activity.
