There is a local shop just a minute away where you can collect you morning paper and take back to read on the reclining sofa, or stay a while and sit outside and enjoy a coffee - freshly baked bread and cakes are also available. A local pub, with its restaurant and micro brewery, is only 200 yards away. From here you can walk down to the local staithe or continue on through the quiet lanes to Barton Broad Boardwalk. The area is excellent for birdwatching, wildlife, cycling and walking, and you can also spot many old, flint-built churches. The villages of Horning and Wroxham are 2 miles away with their numerous pubs, cafés and opportunities for boat trips. Norwich is easily reached and has a castle, museums, cathedrals and shopping.
