Our Beach House is a really special place, nestled in the sand dunes with stunning countryside views to the front. Direct beach access from your own back yard. As well as spending days on the beach, you can explore the coast, countryside and the Broads are also easily accessible. Fully enclosed lawned garden with parking for up to three cars. It is a 20 minute walk along the beach towards Happisburgh to the local cafe Small Sticks. This is a lovely little cafe and offers a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Visit on a Sunday and you will see the RNLI practicing manoeuvres, you can also look in the lifeboat shed and check out the life boats and take a peak in the little gift shop. Sea Palling is approx a 45 minute walk along the beach but an easier 30 minute walk along the lane at the front of the property. Just turn left and keep going. You can of course drive, Sea Palling has a pub, cafe, fish and chips and general store and post office. On the way by car to Sea Palling you will pass The Causeway Butchers and Cooks Farm Shop Both are worth a visit. Stalham is a 15 minute drive and the wonderful Broadland town of Wroxham 25 minute drive. Our Beach House contains: Information Pack, leaflets and a map of the local area. Cards, cribbage and scrabble, bird/nature books. The house is heated by a pellet stove very similar to a log burner but much cleaner and easier and no smoke smells so ideal for those with chest problems. You will be given a supply of pellets. We have solar panels which provide your hot water, don’t worry if the sun does not shine we have an immersion heater too. Entire place. We are always at the end of the phone or email at all times to offer assistance and guidance and can be with you in 20 minutes in the event of a breakdown or failure of equipment. North Norfolk is a stunning location to stay with the Broads on your doorstep and grey seals to visit on a nearby beach. Great Yarmouth and Cromer less than an hour away. Our place is a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers. The traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 20 miles, has lots to offer including Greyhound and Horse Racing . Water sports and bike hire available at the seaside resort of Sea Palling, just an 8-minute drive away. Winterton-on-Sea is just 10 miles away. Visit Wroxham, known as the ’capital of the Broads’, 13 miles, where you can hire a day boat and explore the waterways. There is also a train station with trains to Norwich, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops available. National Trust historical houses and gardens including Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park Horsey Wind Pump, nature and bird reserves can be found within surrounding area. Visit Horsey beach between December and February, and you may spot hundreds of grey seals and pups on the beach. Alternatively, visit the historical city of Norwich, 18 miles, with its cathedral, theatres, museums, cobbled streets and array of shops and cafés. Sea fishing is available nearby. Shops 4 miles, pubs 2 miles. The North Norfolk Coastal Path crosses in front of the property. By car the village of Sea Palling is 2.3 miles away and has an award winning blue flag beach a shop, post office, snack bars and amusement arcade or the larger town of Stalham is 4 miles which has a petrol station and Tescos and other major supermarkets will deliver. If you like to walk our house is 2 miles from Sea Palling and 2 miles from Happisburgh with its landmark lighthouse and 2 miles from the Star Public House in Lessingham. The Norfolk coastal path runs right by the front gate and there are many footpaths if you wish to explore inland. Our Beach Bungalow is accessed down an unmade track vehicles with low ground clearance will need to approach slowly. Parking is in the front garden of the property.
