Woodland Cabin
Woodland cabin situated next to a winding stream, pond and waterfall. Nestled on the edge of the woods, yet not off the beaten track; still accessible for amenities, pubs and local attractions. Ideal country retreat if you enjoy ecology, wildlife, birds, bats, deer, foxes and more! Absolutely perfect for a safe and fun getaway with your pets. (Dogs can enjoy the space and freedom of approx 4 acres to run and play without other people’s pets to cause concern!) Ideal for small bbq gatherings! Set in a woodland opening, looking onto a small pond. Beautiful scenery abundant with wildlife. The cabin has a wood burner for cosy nights in during winter months. Also heated with modern electric radiator in the bedroom and bathroom. The footpath to the cabin is, however, unlit so do bring torches and appropriate footwear for the paths - specifically when it’s dark in the Winter months. The Cabin is rustic, full of charm - positioned on the edge of the woods for a rural, back to nature retreat. As such, be aware that you can hear the wildlife during the night! In addition, with winter months it can be wet and, if raining, you will hear the rain on the roof. We provide all mod-cons! WiFi, Netflix, dishwasher etc. However, for ecological purposes we do ask for tissue and sanitary items to be placed in the bin provided in the bathroom due to our private (no mains) septic tank. Some road noise during peak times during the week. The cabin is set in a small clearing of approx 4 acres of woodland. You can wander around the woods as they are private - you will not come across other guests during your stay. The land is fenced and gated for security and safety of your pets. Always available and to hand if required, or if assistance is needed with anything. Happy to help when necessary. Local amenities are just a short drive to the village (approx one and a half miles) or alternatively walk along the scenic Worth Way, cycle and footpath, taking approx 30 mins into Crawley Down Village. We are set between two villages both with local facilities - butchers, pubs, restaurants and village shops. Entertainment is abundant in the towns as well as Tulley’s Farm on the door step! Tulleys have Escape Rooms, open air cinema, festivals and seasonal activities. Gatwick Airport is approx 10 mins drive. There aren’t any bus routes through Rowfant, but you can walk to the village to get the bus to East Grinstead, Tunbridge Wells, Crawley, Gatwick etc. Three Bridges Train Station is approx 3.5 miles and has a direct line to London Victoria or London Bridge - both journeys in/out London are approx 40 mins. Access into the woods is directly off the road with plenty of space to park at the end of the drive. It is a private drive with no access for other road users. Footpath to the cabin is a winding, unmade path that you follow from the parking area. The path is approx 50 metres to the cabin. N.B in the winter months you will need suitable footwear as it can be wet and slippery.
