This spacious skandi style house offers large areas for friends and family to spend quality time together. The interior is designed around relaxation and comfort and offers plenty to keep kids entertained. Step out from the living area into the safe haven of the large, sunny enclosed garden, perfect for al fresco dining. The new summer house allows for gentle exercise and quiet contemplation. Small, well trained dogs are permitted off peak (see house rules). Ample, gated off street parking. Blissfully tucked away in a private setting, our skandi style, child and dog-friendly detached holiday home is the perfect venue for a large family holiday or reunion of friends. A 10-15 minute stroll takes you beyond Highcliffe Castle to the beaches and shoreline of Christchurch Bay where you can walk miles in each direction. A short walk in the other direction takes you to one of the prettiest and unspoilt parts of the New Forest (and along the way the best Pick Your Own farm). This versatile accommodation offers a large bright living room with separate (linked) dining room and modern kitchen with all mod-cons. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor with its own en-suite with a further three bedrooms on the first floor with access to the family bathroom. The rear garden is set on a plot of approaching 1/4 of an acre surrounded by established shrubs and flowers with access via a private gate to Nea Meadows and Pond with its circular wildlife walks. At the front of the house there is ample parking for 3-5 cars in the front driveway which is protected by a gate as well as one of the most special, ancient trees in the area. We've tried to include all you need to relax and have a great time, including a fully stocked range of garden toys such as Badminton, Croquet (kids and adult versions) Table Tennis and games for smaller children. In the summer house is perfect for quiet contemplation, or some guests like to do yoga and fitness apps here. Guests can access the house and both front and back garden areas, including the garden summer house. The garage will be locked. Keys will be handed over by the house manager on day of check-in and returned to the key lock upon check-out. Our property is managed by Karen who will hand over keys and show you around the property. Karen will be on hand during your stay for any queries regarding the property or for recommendations of the local area. Highcliffe-On-Sea's attractive coastline, with its panoramic views of the Isle of Wight to the east and Bournemouth to the west is just a few minutes walk from the village centre. The unspoilt beaches are great for watersports, swimming and body-boarding or for just lazing around and can be accessed through a series of zig-zag paths from the large cliff top car park. The 2.4 mile Christchurch Coastal Path extends from Highcliffe cliff top to Highcliffe Castle (a magnificent Grade 1 listed mansion set in attractive cliff-top grounds) and then through Steamer Point Nature Reserve to Mudeford Quay. The beaches and Highcliffe castle are a mere 10 minute stroll from the house. We have a double buggy available for smaller feet and a sturdy beach cart to use; helpful when bringing your buckets and spades to the beach! Avon Beach, the second one you walk to, is one of the best water sports beaches in the UK with a wonderful long beach perfect for surfing, windsurfing and stand up paddling. There is also plenty of outdoor space within the gated driveway for locking your bikes away. (Please bring your own bike locks). We have a gated driveway with space for three to five cars, useful for trips further afield. Our house is conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from Hinton Admiral train station, with direct trains coming from London and the south. There is so much to do in Highcliffe and the area around it, when we are down we love to go windsurfing and out on the SUPs. We would happily help to organise any activities with you such as windsurfing lessons, SUP Yoga, Cooking classes etc. As well as that we can offer a concierge service to organise whatever you need during your stay whether that be a private chef, fishing trip, boat charter or cycle hire. We allow one small, well trained dog in off peak seasons. Dogs are not permitted on soft furnishings, upstairs or on carpets. (Note living room and bedrooms are carpeted). Dogs are permitted in the hall, kitchen, utility room and outdoor areas. The garden must be cleared of all dog poo daily. The back garden opens up via a Pickett fence into Nea Meadows, perfect for morning walks. For any keen road bikers we can share some Garmin routes for the best rides in the area. Of note, we do not accept bookings for hen or stag parties. For those guests who book to celebrate an event, we have a separate celebration policy which is available with guest information.
