Rowlands Farm, Edale - Lee Cottage

A cosy barn conversion with wonderful views of the Edale Valley Lee Cottage at Rowlands Farm is a beautiful two-bedroom cottage – part of a barn conversion completed in the summer of 2018. Sitting at the head of the famous Edale Valley, the cottage has 360-degree views of Mam Tor, the Kinder Plateau and the Great Ridge, and guests have access to an adjacent private picnic field with arguably the best views in the Peak District! The cottage is cosy but contemporary, with a lovely master bedroom with king-size bed and luxurious en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has hand-crafted bunk beds. They are full single bed size, making them suitable for younger and older children. All beds boast cosy down duvets and luxurious bed linen. Downstairs, the cottage has a comfy living area, a fully-equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom, all with underfloor heating. Walkers can explore the stunning Edale Valley right from their doorstep, while Edale village, with its pubs, cafes and shop, is a lovely 20-minute walk from the cottage. Guests have their own space outside the cottage, with seating and a BBQ. They can also enjoy an adjoining private 4-acre picnic field – perfect for soaking up the views or getting the kids to expend some energy! We live next door, so are usually around to answer any questions guests might have during their stay. Edale is one of the loveliest corners of the Peak District, with stunning views and countless walking routes. We can direct you to the best streams to paddle in, the best spots for a romantic picnic, the best rocks to climb and the most beautiful parts of the valley only locals know about. The pretty village has two pubs, two cafes and is a lovely 20 minute walk from Rowlands Farm. The many attractions of the wonderful Peak District are easily accessible from Edale. Guests arriving by car have private parking at Rowlands Farm. Edale also has its own railway station, with trains arriving from both Sheffield and Manchester. Rowlands Farm is an easy 20-minute walk from the station. There is an adjoining cottage, 'Smith Cottage', which also sleeps 4.
