The Bolt Hole is a spacious, cosy home from home in the picturesque village of Luddenden, situated between Halifax and Hebden Bridge. This is an ideal stop for a short break or for a longer holiday. This property has secure off road parking for 2 cars - an advantage as parking in the village is very limited and often a problem. The Countryside is favoured by walkers (like us) and cyclists. We can recommend easy and more difficult walks from the property as well as those further afield. The property was built around 1860 and renovated into 8 apartments in 1990. The ground floor apartment is very spacious and will comfortably accommodate four people. There are 8 steps up to the front door but once inside, the apartment is on one level. The entrance hall leads into a modern fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, smart TV, small sofa and bookcase. The attractive tile and glass bathroom has underfloor heating, wash basin, toilet and walk in shower. The light and airy bedroom has adjacent twin beds, large wardrobe and ample space for a travel cot. The large lounge, with corner dining area serves as the second bedroom with one of the two sofas doubling as a comfortable double bed. This room has a smart TV and NOW TV box. There is a small patio area in front of the building for residents and guests. There is a no smoking policy in the apartment and no noise please between 11pm and 9am. Sorry no pets. You will have access to the whole property You can e mail text or phone me if you have any questions. We live in the Cornmill so are on hand if required. Luddenden is a picturesque village and the locals are very friendly and welcoming. It is a conservation area with many listed buildings. You are a 5 minute walk from the 17th century village pub, The Lord Nelson. It is open evenings and weekends. We often feature in TV dramas such as Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley and The Gallows Pole. Parking in the village is very limited and often a problem. We are one of the few properties in the village that can offer secure off road parking (2 spaces available). There is a regular train service to Leeds and Manchester from Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge and Hebden Bridge. Buses to Halifax, Hebden Bridge Todmorden, Burnley are a 10 minute walk away. There is a connection to Haworth at Hebden Bridge. We provide a continental breakfast on the first day. With notice, we can even prepare a home cooked meal for you. There are many restaurants and take away service in the area as well as Morrison's Extra Store just 10 minutes away on foot. There is a children's playground 100 metres away. The impressive Piece Hall in Halifax is an open air music and events venue with many boutiques and cafes. Hebden Bridge has long been acknowledged as a town filled with character, plenty of independent shops and open air markets. Haworth, the home of the Bronte family is just 20 minutes car journey away and also serves as a gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
