Abada is a quiet, secluded, off-grid forest yurt retreat situated on private grounds in Sussex bluebell woods. It is a perfect escape place for a romantic getaway or a family adventure. Our guests fully enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time they spend in the woods. Yurt comfortably sleeps up to 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids). Additional guests (up to 4) might be accomodated in bell tents (ask host for details). There is a woodburning stove, camping gas cooker, own shower cabin, and a compost loo. The Abada Bluebell yurt is located in the rural part of woodland area at a beautiful farm near Lewes, East Sussex. The location is private and secluded. Our guests fo not share any facilities. 16ft new yurt comfortably sleeps up to 4 people (extra guests may be accomodated in bell tents). There is a king-size bed and a double futon bed with bedding provided. A large wood burner keeps the place warm and cozy on cold days. Logs and kindling can be provided upon request (£12 for a large box of logs, kindling and firelighters). The site has been created in the rustic eco-friendly and off-grid concept, but yet has everything to make your stay really enjoyable and comfortable. We have used a lot is recycled materials and eco-safe ways of maintenance whenever possible. There is no electricity at the site, but lanterns and torch lights are provided. In your own private part of woodlands there is an outdoor shower cabin, a compost toilet, an outdoor kitchenette with running water, a camping gas stove, an outdoor sitting/dining area, a fire pit for bonfires and a hammock. Bedding is provided, but please bring your own towels and flip flops. You will find everything you could wish for to enjoy your perfectly comfortable off-grid experience to relax and unwind. The area offeres a lot of walking, hiking and cycling oppostunities. There is a boat rowing station near by and a children friendly animal farm. Guests are welcome to wonder all around the farm and explore the wild life and the surroundings. Please do not approach farm buildings (as a part of a COVID safety policy). Crockstead farm has got planty of animals including hourses, chickens, peacocks and ducks, as well as rabbits, foxes, deer, badgers, pheasants and other animals. Please do not feed or touch any of the animals. Please follow the paths, do not climb fences. The yurt is licated at the remote area of the farm, in peaceful and quiet corner of the woods, so you can enjoy your privacy while staying here. It is a self-catering accomodation, but we are happy to help with any quiries. The host is abailable at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Please check your check-in info folder prior to arrival. The whole area is made of beautiful rolling hills and farming land to enjoy. Within a very short distance, there is a Bluebell railway (steam rail trains - great adventure for children), Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum, Blackberry farm, the Ancor Inn boating station, and much more to discover. The nearest supermarkets like Tesco, Waitrose, and Coop are located in Uckfield and Lewes/ The area is equally great for walking and cycling or just relaxing in the peace and quiet of the woods. If you like hiking, there is a public footpath going straight through the farm. You can find more information on the East Sussex council web site or just follow the yellow signs indicating the path. The farm is easy to find. The turn from A22 and is very well indicated. Please follow the check-in instructions and collect you keys at the yurt. We work hard to provide a really comfortable stay and revitalising experience that brings you closer to the natural invironment. We kindly ask our guests to respect the woodland and to support a rustic and eco-friendly concept of our site. Price is indicated for 2 guests. It is £15 extra for each additional guest. Children under 3 y.o. stay free of charge. A large box of logs, kindling and firelighters can be delivered to the yurt prior to your stay. Please pre-order by messaging the host and pay an additional fee of £12 per box of logs, kindling and firelighters. If you are planning to use the fire pit please consider ordering some extra logs for it too.
