Our traditional house in the village Drakeia, at Mount Pelion, is established at a unique place in a 2.500 m2 real estate, at a really calm aeria with special view from the top of Pelion to Pagasitikos sea. The traditional stone house in Drakeia, a picturesque village of Pelion, enjoys a unique location on a property 2.500sqm, in a calm area, with excellent views of the peaks and slopes of the mountain, offering stunning panoramic views over Pagasitikos sea, in a magical place where the mountain to meet with 'planted' traditional villages on its slopes, ravines with running water, traditional stone paths, lush chestnut forests , beautiful land with orchards like apples, olives, etc. and clear sea. The interior design of the house combines traditional elements with functional comfort. Wooden floors, traditional wardrobes with the personal selection of furniture, ceramic tiles, traditional built fireplace, combined with the excellent natural lighting and view create an idyllic atmosphere to enjoy your holiday. The house includes 1 double bedroom, 1 triple bedroom, 1 loft - room with two double beds, one couch - bed in the living room. Living room, dining room, bathroom with bathtub & WC, fully equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge n’ freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker , boiler, central heating, complete series with cookware, dishes, cutlery etc. Outdoors: large patio with stone benches and natural shade, stone big dining table, barbecue and traditional oven. You absolutely must take a trip to the two squares of Drakia which are among the oldest in Pelion and the picturesque cobblestone streets of the village with running waters and lush vegetation. In the village there are 17 churches, chapels and churches and most of them celebrate traditional festivals. It is worth visiting the church of Ag. Spyridon for the fantastic way up there, the church of St. Athanasius, the church of St. Nicholas, the church of St. George with wooden temple and hagiographies of Ioannis Pagonis. In Drakeia you can still visit the local museum, the mansion Triantafyllou, with frescoes from the 18th century, Carved doors and carved wooden ceilings, among the best of its kind, the Monument to commemorate the mass execution of 118 residents of the village from the German soldiers till Β’ World War in December 1943, and the arched bridge located in wooded creek. You can taste traditional food, local wine and raki in the three traditional restaurants of the village in the lower square. If you choose to stay the summer season (approximately July 20 to August 30), do not forget to visit the nearby music village, the St. Lawrence, which is just two kilometers from Drakeia. Worth a hike in the dirt road that passes through the lush forest of the glen, their shadows, and flowing waters. The village is connected to Agria and Volos by intercity bus twice a day. It is highly recommended that better use / rent a car to explore further all the interesting scenery of Pelion and Volos. The house is located 100 meters from the main road where there is parking. During check-in and check-out the house is approached by car at 30 meters. Nearest Airport: Nea Anchialos (VOL), 35 mm. Closest harbor - city of Volos, 17 km. Nearest Beach Pagasitikos: Agria 11km. Nearby beaches in the Aegean: Ag. Ioannis 26 km., Damouchari 29 mm., Ag. Saranta 28 mm., 30 mm Horefto. Nearest Ski Center: Agriolefkes 6 Km. Nearest mini-market: 500 meters Nearest Pharmacy: 600 m Distance from Athens: 332 Km Distance from Thessaloniki: 230 Km Not recommended for people with special abilities due to the stone cobbled access. Pets allowed to stay in a house in the yard.
