The SeaShack Olive Room

The Olive Room is a new private cozy space with sea views, situated under our Olive tree. It is a double en-suite bedroom, suitable for a couple or a single person. It is tastefully decorated in a modern way, with an eclectic coastal theme. The exterior has its own private courtyard and braai area. The Olive Room is a double room that has been tastefully decorated in a contemporary/eclectic coastal style. A double brass bed compliments the decor and adds to the quirky style. It is a self-contained ensuite bedroom with its own TV, Mesh WiFi, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and coffee maker. Everything you need to make your trip comfortable is supplied, including towels, tea/coffee, etc. The Olive Room also has it's own small private courtyard and braai area under a pergola that has recently been planted up with flowering creepers, as well as a small garden at the front overlooking the herb garden. By the pool there is also a braai area that guests can make use of, as well as decks overlooking the sea. The gardens surrounding the main house are all ndigenous, and contain a plethora of South African cycads, aloes, and succulents. In the Spring and early Summer months whales are easily identified and heard from the front deck. The sardine shoals pass out door in June and July. We have a live-in child-friendly small dog named Shaggy, as well as an opinionated hairless Sphinx cat named Beastie. They’re both usually found sunning themselves around the pool. We also keep three sarcastic free-range Leghorn chickens to help keep the garden bug free. The flatlet also has off-road parking, and is fully safe and secure. It has 24hr monitoring, an electric fence and gate, as well as a state-of-the-art security system. Guest have their own private flatlet, and access to the braai area, pool, and gardens. Guests have their own privacy but we are very accessible to them. We are 20min south of Durban and The Pavilion. Athlone Park and Toti golf clubs are nearby. Galleria mall is 5 minutes away. Toti main beach and the fishing sports are a few minutes drive. The southern freeway is close by, but not so close that we can hear it. A car is fairly essential to move around in the area. Uber is available as well as a local cab service too. Guests have their own privacy but can mingle and make use of the communal areas as they wish. There are several braai areas in the property as well as a pool and decks. Secure parking is provided on the premises within 40m of the accommodation.
