Its on the edge of Peak National Park with walks, cycle tracks and access to local rail station. Pub food nearby and take-aways nearby. The Loft is essentially a self contained Studio flat with an external garden space and parking. It measure 15sq/m. Not an enormous space but well appointed with the guests comfort and convenience a priority All guests have free and unrestricted access to the flat, garden, terrace and parking area. The host lives in the detached property adjacent and is available for any advice or assistance during the guests stay. Tintwistle is located on the A628 Woodhead Pass, in The Longdendale Valley. A primary transport route across the Penine Hills, connecting Manchester to Sheffield and Barnsly. The Village is in the Peak District National Park, one of the oldest national parks in the UK. The scenery is stunning at any time of year, it is a joy for walkers and ramblers or cyclists and motor cyclists. The village is small with less than 1500 people, it has a Pub, a General Store, a Cafe / Bakery, a Cricket team, a Football team and most of the usual attributes of a tiny village. There is a Fly Fishery on Arnfield Reservoir, Clay Pigeon Shooting at Boars Clough Farm, Golf and Tennis at Glossop. The nearest rail station is Hadfield, just over a mile away. It gives you good connection to the main city life in Manchester, Stockport and Glossop - our largest nearby town. Manchester Airport is a 45 minute taxi journey away, giving you connection to the world. Bus from the village will take you to Glossop, Ashton - under - Lyne, Stalybridge and connections to Manchester which connects all over Britain. The frequent train service from nearby Hadfield, connects to Manchester, Hyde, Ashton and other local stations. Parking in the village is restricted, so your parking space here is a bit unique. Street parking is permitted on side roads but not on the main road. Cycles and Motor cycles are safe here on the premises and there is sufficient parking space for a small car at the front off-road. The winters in this area are usually mild but occasionally it can be severe with hard frosts and significant snowfall. Please check weather forecasts. It is very unusual to become snowed in, but it is not unknown to happen..
