A peaceful and cosy two-bedroomed traditional flint cottage in a gorgeous rural location just 5 miles from the stunning North Norfolk coast. The interior is elegantly decorated with vintage touches and luxurious details including Egyptian cotton linens, underfloor heating and wood burning stove. The quirky shops, fishmongers and deli of Burnham Market are a short drive away and there's a great selection of local pubs and incredible beaches to choose from. The accommodation is on two floors. On the ground floor there's an open-plan living room / kitchen with a small dining table suitable for up to 4 guests. There's a cosy wood burner, bluetooth speaker and WiFi in the cupboard by the fireplace. The kitchen is well-stocked with crockery and utensils and there's olive oil and salt and pepper for you to use. The Everhot cooker provides a constant gentle warmth and there's a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's also a separate snug / TV room where you can kick back and relax on the large squashy sofa with a film or book. You'll also find a wooden chest filled with toys and games such as Scrabble, Backgammon, Uno and lots more! The bathroom is downstairs and has a toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and bath with over-bath shower. Underfloor heating keeps the room cosy and there are white fluffy towels, and plenty of hooks and shelving for you to store toiletries. The two bedrooms are upstairs, both with double aspect windows. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and adjoining that room (with a fully closing door between them) is a twin room with two small (2ft 6 inches wide x 6ft 6 inches long) single beds. A travel cot will fit in either room if you require. Both bedrooms have generous-sized chests of drawers and the master bedroom also has a large wardrobe for you to hang clothes. The entire cottage is yours for the duration of your stay. Parking is available in the lane, just a few metres away. We want you to enjoy your stay. Should you need anything we can be contacted any time. South Creake is a pretty countryside village with a village green and play park about 10 minutes walk from the cottage. The Church of Our Lady Saint Mary, one of the most beautiful mediaeval country churches in Norfolk, is just behind the cottage and well worth a visit. Services are on Sunday mornings. Heading towards the coast, around 3 minutes drive away, is the village of North Creake where you'll find Creake Abbey, a great café/restaurant/deli which hosts Norfolk’s best farmer’s market on the first Saturday of every month. Continue on towards the coast and you’ll come to Burnham Market (around 8 minutes drive from the cottage) with its array of quirky independent shops and cafes / pubs / butcher / fishmonger / cinema and spa. Further afield is the market town of Holt, with a great range of shops, cafes and antiques. From here you can take a steam train to Sheringham on the North Norfolk Railway. There are stunning beaches at Brancaster, Burnham Overy-Staithe, Holkham and Wells. The Norfolk Coast Path runs from Hunstanton in west Norfolk round to Sea Palling on the north east coast. The majority of this walking trail runs through the dramatic landscape of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The seaside town of Wells, the harbour at Blakeney, and the pretty village of Cley are also well worth a visit. Boat trips to see the seals at Blakeney Point can be booked online, departing from Morston Quay. Parking is available in the lane in front of the cottage, just a few metres away.
