Alton Period House - Platform bed

The house is located on a hill within walking distance of the town, buses and the train station. Jane Austen's House Museum is nearby in the village of Chawton. Alton is surrounded with picturesque villages with old worldly pubs. Alton is not far from Winchester, Guildford and historic town of Petersfield and is just over an hour by train to Waterloo Station in London. The room is a small room with a platform bed with the access by a built in sturdy ladder. There are great views from this room. A desk and chair is under the bed. There is also a wardrobe. Guests are invited to use the kitchen facilities, dining room, cloakroom, bathroom and tranquil garden. I am available to give advice and i am happy to chat to guests. If I am available I will fetch guests from the train station. My house is on a steep hill. It is a short walk to the town where there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and specialist shops. Alton Train Station is 15 to 20 minutes walk to where there is trains running every half hour into London, Waterloo Station. The journey is just over an hour. There are buses in the town running to other main line bus routes in Winchester, Basingstoke, Guildford and also stopping in the surrounding villages. Enterprise car hire is here in Alton should you wish to hire a car.
