Spacious lodge overlooking Pentney Lakes, Norfolk
Spacious, four-bedroom lodge overlooking a freshwater lake in West Norfolk. The lodge is approximately 6 miles from the historic market town of King’s Lynn, with the unspoilt North Norfolk coastline just a short drive away. The lodge comfortably sleeps 7 people (up to 9 if sharing rooms) and offers a relaxing setting for families and friends to get together. *Please note this is a strictly no smoking and no vaping property*. Bel-Ami, which roughly translates as “good friends”, is our "home from home" when we visit family and friends in the UK. When we are not around, the lodge is available for rent. The whole house is available for use. For people with limited mobility, the main floor offers step-free access with 81 cm (32 inch) doorways. Books, games, jigsaws and DVD's are available in the lodge for guests to enjoy. A selection of maps are also available for walking or cycling - we ask that you please leave these in the property for other guests to access. We have left a few personal things in the house for our use when visiting. We are available via email only but there is a local contact who can help out if needed. The stunning North Norfolk coastline is a short drive away, with the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Holkham and Hunstanton and entry points for over 84 miles of coastal paths. The towns of Kings Lynn and Swaffham provide opportunities for shopping and dining out, while Kings Lynn offers a glimpse of the Maritime history, being the birthplace of Captain George Vancouver, who established the Canadian province of British Columbia. Local village pubs are another great way to experience this charming corner of England. Pentney Lakes can be accessed via taxi from Kings Lynn station (approx 20 GBP), but the surrounding area is best explored by car. There is an Enterprise car rental office in Kings Lynn for people visiting from abroad. Housekeeper lives close by and can provide assistance if needed during your stay.
