Pretty, secluded Suffolk cottage
The cottage is completely self contained. The beaches of Aldeburgh and Southwold are within 25 mins drive and the Snape Maltings are 15 mins away. Orford is worth a visit - especially the bakery! The Mimsmere Wildlife Reserve - now made famous through the BBC's Springwatch - is not too far away. There are lovely walks through Woodland Trust land local to the village. There are now many highly recommended places to eat in the area which use local, if not home grown, produce, run by talented chefs. Great Glemham is remote despite being so close to the A12, so a car or bike is essential. Saxmundham, 5 miles away, has the nearest railway station, connecting with main line services into London's Liverpool Street station. The village is a convenient base for exploring the wonderful Suffolk countryside as well as its expansive beaches.
