Both inside and outside the house has been completely refreshed, resulting in 100m2 of living space and a small but very nice garden at the back. The cottage has two double rooms and two small but oh so cozy single rooms. Fortunately, the old details have been preserved during the extensive renovation. In fact, the house has a rich history. On the dike of Makkum: when the sun turns the sky pink in the evening and you start your evening walk over the dike. It doesn't get any more Frisian. Nice house with lots of living space. Newly furnished with two double bedrooms and two single bedrooms upstairs and a spacious, bright landing. From Bart's booklet /historical-huisje-in-makkum/ August 13, 2021, by Jorien Thijs. HISTORICAL HOUSE IN MAKKUM, FRIESLAND Friesland forever boppe! Just cross the Afsluitdijk and then, bang-boom, peace and space. But also lovely harbor towns, the best vintage finds and one cool coffee shop after another that swings open. Staying for a while? Just do it. And then, for example, in this historic house at the bottom of the seawall of Makkum. A pearl, we find. Makkum it is. Perfect location, between favorite cities Harlingen, Workum and Sneek. Right on the water and close to the Afsluitdijk. Loved by the water sports enthusiasts among us, but also by the Friesland fans who come for the relaxed atmosphere. Only Makkum Beach… meh, not our kind of resort. The alternative is much nicer and cozier. This holiday home at the bottom of the seawall of the historic town is exactly what you are looking for. Makkum is too beautiful to miss. The cottage has recently been completely renovated: completely renovated, sleek in paint and a handsome kitchen. Craftsmanship, you see. Not surprising, because the owners are also responsible for the construction of tall ship Wylde Swan, from which you can see elements. Both inside and outside the house has been completely refreshed, resulting in 100m2 of living space and a small but nice garden at the back. The cottage has two double rooms and two small but very cozy single rooms. A baby cot slash box can be placed on request. Fortunately, the old details have been preserved during the extensive renovation. In fact, the house has a rich history. Beautiful wooden beams, Frisian tiles from Tichelaar on the floor. And we haven't even talked about the place yet. On the dike of Makkum where you can climb over the fence to look at the boats. The best moment of the day: when the sun turns the sky pink in the evening, the wind starts to blow gently and you start your evening walk over the dike and among the sheep. It doesn't get any more Frisian. Parking in front of the door with an exemption for one car. Other cars can be parked nearby at long-term parking at the harbor or at the supermarket.
