Cosy Homestay in the heart of Parys

Silver Linings Homestay is the ideal place to unwind in picturesque Parys. Set within walking distance from the river, the homestay offers a private double bedroom clothed in egyptian cotton and en suite bathroom boasting a mosaic basin, shower and bath. The homestay has a small table with comfortable seating and air conditioning.  There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as well as a small mini fridge. On arrival you will receive some milk and cookies/rusks to get you started. There is a selection of teas, ground and Instant coffees available. Please note that you cannot drink the water from the Parys area, so we supply a 5 litre bottle of water each day. The carpeted bedroom is equipped with a double bed with goose down duvet and pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets and electric under blankets (for Winter). Extra mohair blankets and throws are available for very cold days. Excellent lighting next  to the beds makes for good reading. There is also plenty of cupboard and drawer space for that adventurous packer! The bathroom has a full large glass shower and a long rectangular bath, hand basin and toilet. There is a double bar heater in the bathroom to warm up those chilly mornings and nights. The bathroom comes fully equipped with luxury amenities for guests to use freely and top quality towels are supplied. The outside area is available for guests to use freely. You can either use the gas braai or you can use the main braai in the gazebo area if you want to braai. There are comfortable couches to lounge around on and a dining room table with 8 chairs, if you want to host a special dinner. We also have a day bed outside for those wanting to laze in the sun or catch an afternoon nap. Guests have access to the braai area, outdoor lounge area and garden. Guests may interact with us as much as they like or as little as they like. We want you to feel at home and completely relaxed. Parys is a friendly picturesque little town, 1 hour outside of Johannesburg. It is beaming with lovely antique stores, unique coffee shops and many fun outdoor activities. It is best to use a car to travel to and around Parys. The Homestay is a Private Room with an en suite bathroom in a home where the owner lives.
