Listed hop kiln in quiet country setting
Our home is a stunning hop kiln built in 1900, converted into a private home in 1998. We are offering 2 large private bedrooms, on a bed-only basis. You are welcome to use our facilities and enjoy the garden. The heart of the house is an incredible triple height dining room, (separately available as event space). Enjoy staying in the heart of the countryside, on a farm with owls hooting, and moments from the centre of a thriving town, and excellent road links to the A3 and A31. The house is situated on a farm. There is ample parking and visitors are encouraged to walk around the immediate area and enjoy the countryside. We do not provide breakfast, but can make our kitchen available to you. We can also arrange a welcome basket of any goods you need such as bread and milk, or even champagne and chocolates. Our listing is for a bedroom within a shared house. There are 2 bedrooms available so it is always worth enquiring if there are more of you. We live in the house, and have our own rooms. We will not disturb you - your rooms are your own. You are encouraged to use the house predominantly as overnight accommodation only. If you wish to bring any food to store in the kitchen and fridge you are welcome. We have a fabulous Chinese restaurant in the village, and two great pubs within walking distance. The market town of Farnham is also a 20 minutes walk, plus a great furniture and gifts store which has a cafe for brunch and is open evenings on Thurs-Sat nights. Immediately outside we have a small garden, and a side gate which exits directly onto the farm track, where you are free to walk and enjoy nature. At night you will hear the owls hoot. We are on the North Downs Way - on the path between Farnham and Waverley Abbey ruins. There is Farnham Station - on the Waterloo train network - within 30 minutes walk or £7 in a taxi.
