Shepherd's Hut (Willow) with Lake View
We have two luxurious detached Shepherd’s Huts, perfect for glamping in the Chiltern Hills. They are of wooden construction and are fully insulated. Double doors open into the main space and offer a wonderfully panoramic view of the lake when looking out. The hut is suitable for two adults and two children with one fixed king sized bed and one double sofa bed. We also have toilets and showers with hot and cold water next to the hut. The shepherds huts are situated on the banks of a secluded picturesque fishing lake. The huts are fitted with wood burning stoves, electric fan heaters, mini fridges. Tea and coffee making facilities supplied. Sufficient crockery and cutlery, glasses, cups etc. Parking is available close to both huts. Keys will be available upon arrival, so you can have the freedom to do as you choose. a contact number is available if required We are located close to the beautiful Thames side village of Medmenham. The towns of Henley on Thames and Marlow are roughly equidistant and regular bus services operate to both towns from close by. There is a lovely local pub and restaurant, “The Dog & Badger”, which has just re-opened after a major refurbishment and is already winning an excellent reputation. Danesfield Hotel and Spa is also close by. Formerly a WW2 photographic interpretation base, it is now a renowned hotel, restaurant and spa, perched on a hill overlooking the River Thames and the Chiltern Hills. A short drive away can be found two typical Chilterns villages, that you will recognise as film and TV locations. Turville is famed as the setting for “The Vicar of Dibley” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and Hambleden is a popular location for “Midsomer Murders”. Both villages have excellent pubs. Also worthy of note are the villages of Skirmett and Fingest. We are located on the main bus route to both Marlow and Henley on Thames with bus stops located a short distance away
